What is the importance of toys to infants and toddlers ?
●
●
~ As they grow, infants can use toys to explore object performance and cause and effect relationships. They also need objects such as blocks to help them build motor skills and hand-eye condition.
" Play give children a chance to practice what they are learning. "
~Fred Roger's
"Children are not only innocent and curious but also optimistic and joyful and essentially Happy. They are , in short, everything adults wish they could be."

How does playing with playdough help a child's development?
~Through these manipulations, children develop eye-hand coordination, the ability to match hand movement with eye movement. They also gain strength and improve dexterity in their hands and fingers, critical areas of physical development for writing, drawing, and other purposes.
" ART IS A PLACE FOR CHILDREN TO LEARN TO TRUST THEIR IDEAS, THEMSELVES, AND TO EXPLORE WHAT IS POSSIBLE."
~MARYANN F. KOHL
" Listen to the desires of your children. Encourage them and then give them the autonomy to make their own decision."
-Denis Waitley
" WE ARE MORE THAN ROLE MODELS FOR OUR STUDENTS; WE ARE LEADERS
AND TEACHERS OF BOTH AN ACADEMIC CURRICULUM AND A SOCIAL
CURRICULUM. "
-~Patricia Sequeira
Why are toys important for motor skills?
When children grasp toys and learn how to manipulate it,
they are effectively practicing motor skills and becoming more adept at hand-eye coordination. This helps children advance through the different stages of physical development.

Play isn't the easy route !
It's complicated, complex and often difficult to watch unfold.
It takes patience, trust and a level of skill to allow a child to truly lead their own learning.
"Give children toys that are powered by their imagination, not batteries. "
