Mass of Christian Burial for Rev. Gerard Trancone | July 14, 2023 | Cardinal Gregory The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is honored to present the Mass of Christian Burial for Rev. Gerard Trancone (October 22, 1942 - July 4, 2023). T...
Father Jerry Trancone was hearing and became a Catholic priest in 1969. He was appointed as Catholic Chaplain of Gallaudet University in 1978 and also Adminstrator of St. Francis Deaf Church in the Archdiocese of Washington in 1997. Fr. Jerry ministered to the Deaf for 37 years until his retirement in 2015.
Fr. Jerry died at the age of 80 on July 4th, 2023. His funeral Mass will be celebrated by Wilton Cardinal Gregory at St. Bernard Catholic Church located in Riverdale, Maryland at 10 am on Friday, July 14th, 2023.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. May almighty God bless us with his peace and strength, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
PS: As these pictures shown, in the end of November, 2017, Fr. Jerry met me in Washington, DC. It was the last time to see me before he became blind.
Good news! Fr. Patrick Mullan was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Washington in 2019. He is hearing and knows American Sign Language but he needs to exercise ASL and will take ASL class at Gallaudet University this summer. Cardinal Geogrey Wilton appointed Fr. Patrick Mullan Chaplain for the Deaf Catholic Community in the Archdiocese of Washington. Fr. Patrick will work with me together for the Deaf Catholic Community including St. Francis Deaf Church and Gallaudet University. Some months later I will leave Washington, DC for good; however, Fr. Patrick will continue to be with Deaf people. He is young so he will hopefully minister to the Deaf in the Archdiocese of Washington for many many years! I would like to ask you if you can pray for him! Thank you so much! God bless you! Big Smile!
