March 23, Feast of Saint Rafqa, a nun of the Lebanese Maronite Order (OLM), a teacher, a catechist, apostle of suffering, also known as Lily of Himlaya, Little Flower of Lebanon and Purple Rose among other titles, was born in Himlaya, Metn district, Lebanon, on June 29, 1832, to Mourad Saber El-Choboq El Rayess and Rafqa Gemayel. She was canonized by His Holiness Pope Saint John Paul II on June 10, 2001. May her prayers accompany and guide us always. for more information about Saint Rafqa visit. rafqa.org/
