Air, Land and Sea capabilities

U.S. Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, eFP Battle Group Poland, supporting the 4th Infantry Division, alongside Polish soldiers assigned to the 15th Mechanized Infantry Division, transport Joint Light Tactical Vehicles via a Medium Amphibious Transport during a wet gap amphibious assault exercise at Gdańsk, Poland, April 18, 2023.

The 4th Infantry Division mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.

Senior military leaders from the United States, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and many other NATO countries gathered at the European Artillery Rocket Summit in Torun, Poland to discuss how to best employ long range fires at the division and corps level. This summit is helping set the framework for the European HIMARS Initiative (EHI) and builds the interoperability of NATO artillery units.

Lt. Gen. Kolasheski, the V Corps Commander and Maj. Gen. Hodne, the 4th Infantry Division Commander, participated during the group panel discussions.

By working together, fire support and maneuver forces learn to effectively synchronize organic fires platforms into combined arms operations.

Medical Advisors from 6th Battalion, 4th Security Force Assistance Brigade, hosted a prolonged causality care event for non-medical advisors, April 24, 2023, on Fort Carson, Colorado. SFAB Advisors continue to train on Tactical Comat Casualty Care (TCCC) tasks throughout the entire pre-deployment process.

The event provides non-medical advisors the opportunity to train on sustained patient care prior to resupply and evacuation.
Multifunctional medical education and training such as TCCC begins for Advisors at the Combat Advisor Training Course at Fort Benning, Georgia, and continues throughout their tenure in the SFAB.
