Greetings, DC Pagan Community:

The Order of the Elemental Mysteries regrets to announce that we will not be organizing a DC Pagan Pride event in 2018. We had loved bringing DC Pagan Pride Day to the community over the last 5 years. Seeing people make connections and come together for a day of celebration has been a joy for us.

We are looking for another local DC organization to partner with for 2019 and into the future. Please contact us at [email protected] if you and your group would be interested.

Connect DC will be hosting its Autumn Equinox/Mabon on September 30 at Two Rivers Sanctuary.

Blessings,

Katrina Messenger and Angela Raincatcher

Monika Healing Coyote will present her workshop "Spirits of the City: Working with Urban Nature Spirits" at on September 17th at Fort Reno Park.

Class Description:
Numerous books & articles describe working in partnership with the genius loci of the woodlands, mountains, rivers, and/or fields, but very few describe the Spirits that inhabit subway trains, city parks, homeless shelters, and skyscrapers. There is Magic in cities, if you know how to approach it. This workshop uses New York City, Washington D.C., and London as examples of the many archetypal Spirits that are found within large urban areas. Attendees will learn about the Beggarman, the Eyes of the City, the Royal Court of Subway Trains, and others.

Monika Healing Coyote is a full-time shamanic healer located in Maryland. Her work involves private and community healing ceremonies along the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions as well as house clearings, journey workshops—held in Laurel, MD and Frederick, MD—, weddings, baby blessings, end-of-life care/funerals, and an international online practice. She received her Masters of Psychology in 2005, and has worked in the fields of public mental health & human services for over 15 years. Monika has extensive spiritual training within her personal religious path of Druidry. She also has her Master Teacher Level certification in Usui Reiki, Medicine for the Earth, Soul Retrieval, and is currently enrolled in Feeding Your Demons (a Tibetan Bön healing technique).
