It's National Garlic Day! We'd venture to say that is one of the most commonly used flavor infusers in the culinary world. It can turn even a piece of toast into something magical!
Here's what we do to make a simple that goes great on--or in-- just about anything:
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees
-Halve a few bulbs of garlic by cutting horizontally through the middle
-Place them in a sheet of aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil, coating the halved bulbs
-Fold the corners of the foil inwards to create a pouch of your garlic bulbs
-Roast in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the garlic cloves have softened
-Remove from the oven and cool, then squeeze or scrape the roasted garlic paste from the bulb and use it on everything
In our neck of the world, its 🦀CRAB🦀 Season! Your favorite crustacean lover will swoon over our new T-shirt😍 That's right, we've got T-shirts now!

Brussels Sprouts are packed with nutrients and flavor, making them a perfect side dish🍽 for any entree. Get your fill of vitamins A,C,E and K along with folate, calcium, fiber and more!
Here's a quick formula for the perfect Brussels Sprout side dish:
-Slice🔪 your sprouts thinly (or shred on a cheese grater box or mandolin)
-Create a dressing with oil like olive or vegetable oil, add a splash of something bright and tangy like lemon juice or vinegar, then shake some salt 🧂and pepper, and finish with parmesan cheese🧀 and/or something with a crunch like pine nuts. Toss the shaved brussels sprouts thoroughly.
-Serve as a salad🥗 or lightly pan fry🍳 for a deeper flavor. Enjoy!
We are celebrating Purim today with hamantaschen from The New Jewish Cookbook by Todd and Ellen Gray. Swipe to see little helping hands making their own at Temple Sinai for .
Purim is a joyful Jewish holiday celebrating the story of Esther, who courageously saved her people from extermination in ancient Persia. Marked by costumes, feasting, and sharing treats, it highlights themes of bravery, survival, and the reversal of fortune. It’s a day for community, kindness, and revelry.
It's ! Of course we'd like to shine the spotlight on Renee Comet, our founder and creative genius behind Comet Cloth & Comet Photography. Renee has been a commercial food photographer for over 30 years and has worked with many different organizations in that time, but Comet Cloth is her creative passion project.
“I wanted to create something with beautiful food that you can feel and touch. A tactile experience for your senses in a way similar to eating. That desire led me to create these tea towels and aprons for cooks. Something that looks good, feels good and works! One-hundred percent cotton, grown, made, printed, sewn, and finished in the USA.” -Renee Comet

Happy Presidents Day!! Being from Washington DC, we thought it would be fun to show you a list of George Washington’s crops in his Mt. Vernon estate. He originally rotated 3 crops which then turned to 7, making crop rotation and therefore, farming, an important source of income here in the United States.
