The National Association of Home Builders Student Chapters program helps to enrich the educational experience of students enrolled in construction-related fields such as construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate, and the trades. Chapters are located at high schools, career technical schools, community colleges (2-year programs), and universities (4-year programs) across the country.

It's National Career Development Day! As a student you can advance your career-readiness any day. Same is true for mentors who want to help prepare future talent. Here are a few things you can do to invest in yourself/the future:
- Discuss your career goals with a teacher, industry professional, other mentor figure. Mentors, be willing to listen and respond thoughtfully when a student expresses their goals.
- Create/demonstrate S.M.A.R.T. objectives.
- Update your resume and LinkedIn profile. Mentors, offer to review/assist students.
- Practice interviewing so you're confident when the time comes. Mentors, offer to host a mock-interview; teach students how to negotiate their salary offer.
