I pray that your day has begun with the excitement that comes with being an active participant in this Jurisdiction!

I am reaching out to make you aware of an incredible opportunity and gain your support. For years, our organizations have worked tirelessly to work in the community and show our charitable nature. The MWGM believes that through your diligence, dedication, and motivation, we can grow our outreach and become (once again) an integral part of our Community.

This correspondence is to enlist your help on May 11, 2024 for less than 3 hours. The jurisdiction will be participating in a Jurisdictional City Wide Clean up. This is an opportunity to showcase to the District of Columbia Council and Mayor that we are "Still Here and more Active than Ever."

We are looking for a minimum of 80 volunteers for this endeavor!! Without your active support and participation it will be difficult to reach our MWGM’s Visionary 24 goals. We need your help in getting the word out, motivating your Brothers & Sisters to participate, and making sure they fill out the form (before Sunday):

To the Worshipful Masters, Wardens, Past Masters, and Brethren of the participating Lodges of the I-95 Connection, Free & Accepted Masons, Prince Hall Affiliated, and other Respective Jurisdictions.
I bring you greetings from James H. Hill Lodge No.16, F. & A.M., P.H.A. of the District of Columbia. You and your Brethren are cordially and fraternally invited to celebrate our Raising Weekend.

The Raising Weekend will be held from Friday, October 14th– Sunday, October 16th, 2022. We will be raising three (3) Fellowcrafts to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on Saturday, October 15th, 2022, at 11 am, in the South Hall of the historic Masonic Temple. The Masonic Temple is located at 1000 U Street NW, Washington, DC. The Lodge will open at 9:00 am, and we will begin receiving visitors at 9:30 am.

The host hotel for the weekend will be the Metro Points Hotel, 8500 Annapolis Rd., New Carrollton, Maryland, 20784. The room rate is $109.00 per night (double occupancy) plus tax or $139.00 a night plus tax for a Junior suite. you may utilize your room key to receive a discount and dine at the IHOP, located in the same parking lot as the hotel. You must contact the hotel directly to reserve your room at (301) 459-6700. The deadline to reserve rooms will be Friday, September 30th, 2022. The room code is Lodge 16. Please support James H. Hill by making all reservations at the host hotel.

Hospitality will be available on Friday & Saturday, at The Metro Points Hotel, 8500 Annapolis Rd., New Carrollton, Maryland, 20784, from 3 pm-1am. The Hospitality Suite will be closed during the Third Degree.

Unfortunately, we will not have a Raising Dance this year. However, The Capital Restaurant & Lounge (former Bay Street Club), 5910 Princess Garden Parkway, Lanham, MD 20706, and other entertainment venues in the local area, will be available for your entertainment.
We look forward to fellowshipping, reacquainting with old friends & making new friends.
