We are very pleased to announce that Principles of Investigative Documentation, Second Edition, is out now! First published a decade ago by Philip Becnel and former-Dinolt-investigator-turned-attorney Scott Krischke, the book details how to document an investigation using what Philip first coined as the "Five Principles of Investigative Documentation." Philip and Scott brought on Alexandra Becnel to co-write the Second Edition, which was reworked as a pseudo-memoir in Philip's voice. The book also includes chapters on writing about race and gender, as well as important legal concepts like confidentiality, hearsay, and the duty to preserve evidence. You can buy a copy here:
