Our team has been hard at work enhancing Engaging Networks' Free & Flexible Templates, and we’re excited to showcase these new features that are live now! For EN we built a user-friendly way to customize your one click donation pages. With these changes, the out of the box style of the giving buttons has been improved and you can edit the submit button label to both change the text and include the selected giving amount and currency symbol.

These updates enhance Engaging Networks' Free and Flexible Templates, making it easier for nonprofits to create personalized, one-click donation pages.

We're excited about these improvements and proud of how this will empower organizations to better engage their donors through EOY and into the future! We're also excited to be attending ENCC in D.C. next month; anyone else going??

Welcome Back: This new component provides a streamlined experience for returning supporters. It hides the personal detail field when it recognizes the supporter already has all the required fields filled out. It then displays two new elements. : Did you know that even hidden images on your site could still be downloaded when a page loads? This can eat up bandwidth and slow down your site—especially with things like flyouts or hero sliders.

Here’s a helpful tip: always check your network requests on both mobile and desktop to spot where images are loading unnecessarily. It’s not just about downloading them, it’s when they’re downloaded that affects performance.

To keep your site running smoothly, try resizing your images to the exact dimensions you need, or use HTML attributes like ‘srcset’ and ‘sizes’ to serve up the right image based on a user’s device. You can also implement lazy loading so images are only loaded when they’re about to be viewed, speeding up your site and saving bandwidth.

Your website visitors (and their devices) will thank you!

The current methods for adding backgrounds, such as using CSS properties or placeholder techniques, often come with limitations that can lead to inconsistent results or undesired visual impacts.

Consider adding a background color to an image if you want to visually show its existence ASAP. I like using a light gray, or you can use a lighter opacity of the image’s dominant color. Use a website tool, like IMGonline, then select 1 color to be the output: https://www.imgonline.com.ua/eng/get-dominant-colors.php

Note that setting a “background” with just the image URL in CSS can override the setting of a “background-color” and no background color will be present.
