🚨UPDATED LIST — GET ON A BUS TO DC! SURROUND THE WHITE HOUSE FOR PALESTINE!
June 8 marks 8 months of US-Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people, and marks the 54th anniversary of the occupation of Gaza. A month ago, Biden said that the invasion of Rafah was a red line. But now, the invasion of Rafah has continued for weeks, has expanded to the entire Gaza Strip, Biden’s red line is nowhere to be seen. Instead of following through and stopping military aid to Israel, Biden has authorized billions more in weapons shipments to be used to kill and massacre Palestinians.
Biden can’t draw the line, but we can. On June 8, we will come together from across the country and surround the White House. Wearing red, and raising our demands high, we will show the world that we are the red line. We demand an immediate ceasefire, an immediate end to the siege on Gaza, the freedom of all Palestinian prisoners, and an end to the occupation of Palestine.
Stop the Genocide! We are the red line! Free Palestine!

Coinciding with the 20th anniversary weekend of the U.S.-invasion of Iraq, the ANSWER Coalition is initiating a major set of actions including a major demonstration at the White House in Washington, D.C. on Saturday March 18 demanding "Peace in Ukraine – Say NO to Endless U.S. Wars” and “Fund People's Needs, Not the War Machine.”
The Biden administration seems determined to escalate the Ukraine war. The danger of a catastrophic global war – including nuclear war – is real. A U.S. General commanding 50,000 troops in the Pacific also issued a letter to his sub-commanders in recent days informing them that he believes that the United States will be at war with China within two years. The danger of global war is growing! The people must act!
The demonstrations will make connections between the human and financial toll of U.S. militarism at home and abroad. Key demands include:
--End the $100 Billion in arms shipments to Ukraine
--End NATO
--Stop the permanent war economy that funnels trillions of dollars away from jobs, education and health care
--Negotiations now! The people of the U.S. are not interested in the possibility of nuclear war nor the Pentagon’s policy of “weakening Russia.”
--No to war with China!

It is crucial that opponents of the U.S. war machine stand up for peace as the Biden administration and Congress deepen their proxy battle in Ukraine! Join us in NYC on Sat. Jan. 14 at 12pm at Times Square!
In the federal budget that was just passed and signed into law, the U.S. government has committed an additional $45 billion to this effort. In another provocative escalation, the Biden administration announced that it was sending the advanced Patriot missile system to Ukraine -- bringing a catastrophic direct conflict with Russia ever closer.
Join us to make your voice heard on January 14! This action was initiated by the ANSWER Coalition and The People's Forum, and is endorsed by Veterans for Peace, CodePink, Party for Socialism and Liberation, United National Anti-War Coalition, WBAI Radio, Peace in Ukraine Coalition, NYC-DSA Anti-War Working Group, and others.

The people of the Americas will have the last word!
The ANSWER Coalition is proud to have been a core convener of the 2022 People's Summit for Democracy that gathered thousands in Los Angeles this past week to say NO to Biden’s Summit of the Americas that excluded Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.
The voice of the excluded was present at the real summit—the one that represented the hundreds of millions of people of this hemisphere—the People's Summit! The People’s Summit brought together so many people and leaders of social movements and organizations from across the region and sectors of struggle that are building resistance to the global capitalist system led by U.S. imperialism.
The People's Summit of Democracy has concluded but our search for building unity in struggle has not. We will be on the streets, in our neighborhoods, in our workplaces and homes, constantly building and organizing, carrying out the thousands of small tasks and big struggles that together bring us closer to victory.
For democracy to prevail, U.S. imperialism just end!
Our planet needs us, our people need us, and we will win!
🎉You are invited to The People’s Summit this June 8-10 in ☀️ Los Angeles!

Let Them In! Stop the Exclusion of Cuban Artists & Academics
🌎The People’s Summit for Democracy is outraged by the decision of the United States government to deny visas to a 23 person delegation from Cuban civil society. The denial of their visas is an affront to the same democratic values that the US government and its “Summit of the Americas” pretends to uphold.
🇨🇺Among the 23 excluded were renowned Cuban scientist and medical doctor Tania Crombet Ramos, Olympic-medal-winner Reineris Salas Pérez, q***r Christian student leader Jorge González Nuñez, and many others including journalists, artists, trade unionists, and community leaders.
🚨We call on the US government and its Embassy in Havana, to reverse the decision to deny their visas.

WASHINGTON, DC: Join progressive and anti-imperialist voices locally and nationally in standing with Palestine, and calling for the U.S. to end all aid to apartheid Israel.
ANSWER coalition, alongside many other organizations is helping to convene in Los Angeles!
In June, the Biden Administration, alongside LA Mayor Garcetti and CA Governor Gavin Newson will use the 9th Summit of the Americas to showcase Los Angeles as the example of “economic prosperity, security, human rights, and dignity.”
Prosperity for who?
LA has some of the starkest income inequality in the nation with billionaires living just within blocks from homeless encampments amidst the rising housing crisis. Working people in LA and across the country know that the U.S. gov’t has absolutely failed us, especially during a pandemic where we saw workers' lives sacrificed for the sake of profits.
But it doesn’t need to be that way.
We, unionists, activists, grassroots organizations and progressive people of Los Angeles and of the Americas are calling for a People’s Summit. We call on the people of the U.S. to be bold in our belief that another future is possible, and to fight for it together.
On June 8th, 9th and 10th we will gather to demand solutions to the problems plaguing our communities as we gather to counter the 9th Summit of the Americas. We will be hosting three days of mobilizations, workshops, panels, and cultural performances concurrent with the Summit of the Americas to create a space and opportunity to discuss these dire needs of our communities.

Horrified by the war in Ukraine, there are people demanding that the U.S. and NATO enforce a No-Fly Zone—but this will only deepen the war.
Imposing a No-Fly Zone would be the quickest possible way to nuclear war between the U.S./NATO and Russia, leading to the deaths of hundreds of millions of people.
The people of the world want peace. We, the people of the United States want peace, too! The U.S. is driving NATO's continued expansion eastward. It is up to us to oppose and stop it.

1 Year Anniversary: Atlanta Spa Shooting
Stop Anti-Asian Racism, Stop China-Bashing!

Join the ANSWER Coalition on the first year anniversary of the Atlanta spa massacre for an event dedicated to continuing the movement against racism at home and imperialism abroad.
On March 16, 2021 a horrific, racist and misogynist massacre took place in Atlanta. Following the shooting, protests spread across the country in solidarity with the Asian community. On March 27, 2021, over 60 cities and towns across the United States held rallies and marches on a National Day of Action called by the ANSWER Coalition.
The actions took place across the country, from big cities like New York City to small towns like Sequim, Washington. Our featured speaker, Sheila Xiao, played a key role in organizing nationwide actions. The demonstrations drew significant coverage from mainstream media both nationally and locally.
The protests called attention to the alarming rise in anti-Asian hate crimes over the past year, which correlates to an increasingly hostile U.S. foreign policy toward China. The scapegoating of China for the COVID-19 pandemic and the intensifying preparations by the U.S. government for war with the country — in the context of centuries of discrimination against Asian people — had driven this crisis.
On this one year anniversary, as we send our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims of the racist massacre and to the Asian American community, we invite everyone to gather to discuss the imperative need for us all to continue to organize against racism, sexism, and war!
WASHINGTON, DC: Join progressive and anti-imperialist voices locally in speaking out against NATO aggression towards Russia, and calling for the cold war relic to be disbanded. The U.S. war machine is the real threat to peace!
We are excited to be partnering with on a t-shirt and poster series opposing U.S. intervention in Africa. Check it out at liberationstore.org!
