Good Evening All,
I hope the first 6 months of 2023 have been productive and somewhat fun-filled. I'd like to invite you to the monthly Advisory Neighborhood Commission Virtual Meeting, this Wednesday, June 7, at 7 PM. A couple of items that might be of interest:
1) With a number of concerning incidents of gun violence and crime in our ANC, we welcome the reports from the Metropolitan Police Departments, as well as a report from the Department of Behavioral Health in June.
2) The Commission will also hear about plans for a new multifamily development at the Church of the Ascension and Saint Agnes (1217 & 1219 Mass. Ave. NW) - buildings right next door.
Please attend if you are available. Let your voice be heard.
BTW - Our next Tenants' Association meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, June 15, at 7 PM, in the Classroom on the basement level (flyer will be posted later this week). Good night.
WOW! Again, it's been a long, long time. HAPPY 2023. We didn't have a March Tenants' Association meeting, but we will have one in June. Be on the lookout for details. Happy Spring.
Greetings Cambridge Residents. I know it's been a long time, so I hope you all had a wonderful summer. Our next TENANTS' ASSOCIAITON MEETING is next Thursday, September 22, at 7 PM. Alice Thompson from the DC Office on Aging & Community Living is our guest speaker. If you are a senior or someone who needs assistance, this will be a great opportunity to learn about the SAFE AT HOME Program. You might have an older family member or friend living in an apartment or house in DC | this would be great information to know.
Hope to see you on Thursday. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about building matters that are not resolved. Blessings.

In memory of Geraldine Jackson ( #220 | 50+ years as resident of The Cambridge), the family invites individuals to make donations to:
Duke Ellington School of the Arts -- https://www.ellingtonschool.org/ellington-fund/donate/tribute/
We will miss Ms. Jackson.
The Cambridge Tenants' Association welcomes our new Community Manager, Samuel Wheeler. We are sad to see Jewel Knight move on, although we WISH HER WELL, but happy to welcome a new member of our community.
I had a chance to meet with him about the Tenants' Association and building issues. Some of the issues (ongoing):
1) Trash Rooms | Need larger signs with larger fonts so that residents can easily see the instructions (break down ALL large boxes and take items that are very large down to the garage -- don't stuff them into the room. Also, please put trash in plastic bags and drop down the Trash Chute -- DO NOT leave open trash in the bins.
2) Security | Mask Mandates for ALL residents and visitors; ALL visitors MUST sign in at the Concierge desk (no matter how many times they have visited the building). Resident need to inform their visitors of this rule; Don't let people come in after you if you don't know them -- if they do, INSIST that they go to the Concierge desk.
3) Indoor/Outdoor Parking | Re-striping of parking lot on outside; Garage painting and power washing -- coming soon.
4) New trash bin arrangement -- coming soon (considering bringing inside the building to help alleviate rat problem).
5) Rats seen in the front | need to be addressed immediately.
6) Updates to -- Concierge area, Package Room/System, and Party Room -- coming soon.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

See you in the fall (maybe). Stay safe, healthy, and have a FUN-FILLED SUMMER!
NO TENANTS' ASSOCIATION MEETING UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2020. Sorry it's been so long! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. We've had the COVID-19 crisis, a Primary Election (June 2), the Special Election (June 16), and protests for equity, equality and justice around the city and country, after the death of George Floyd and others whose lives were tragically taken at the hands of law enforcement. We've been fighting to get the sidewalks repaired in front of the building and all the way down to 12th Street. I participated in the campaign for FANNING for Ward 2 (John Fanning, ANC 2F Chair), and although he was the BEST & MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE, he didn't win. It was a great experience. Enjoy the summer 😎.
