I was honored to give the opening remarks at the opening ceremony for the fourth time. I shared how positive momentum in our recruiting efforts, weapon systems development and delivery, and force structure transformation is critical to our readiness and helps us maintain our war fighting

Congratulations to the on your 249th Birthday! With nearly two and a half centuries of excellence and service, we honor all past and present Sailors who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms and serving our nation on the high seas. Our joint partnership with our Navy counterparts is ironclad, and together, we’re defending this nation around the globe. We’re also looking forward to another anniversary, the third AArmy CSMwin over the Navy in December.

Last month, married couple, CW2 Juana and Josue Trujillo, were among the first class of the Army’s new Talent Acquisitions Warrant Officers (MOS 420T). It is inspiring to see dual-Army couples support each other and achieve so much together in their careers. Can’t wait to see how they will shape the future of this new MOS and support our recruiting transformation.

Yesterday, members of the Tennessee National Guard’s 45th Civil Support Team conducted essential assessments of soil contamination in Erwin, Tennessee, as part of the relief efforts for Hurricane Helene. This rapid-response unit, consisting of both Air and Army National Guardsmen, showcased their expertise and dedication to public safety by collecting and testing soil samples. Their efforts aimed to safeguard the health and well-being of the affected communities.

Last year, GEN George and I announced sweeping changes to ’s recruiting enterprise, enabling us to exceed our recruiting goal for FY24. We introduced two new enlisted and warrant officer recruiting-focused MOSs, providing our current recruiters with enhanced training and outreach tools and we expanded the Future Soldier Prep Course. With over 11K Soldiers in our delayed entry pool for the coming year, we are already off to an excellent start! 🇺🇸

Two years ago, the Army CSMrmy established the Future Soldier Prep Course (FSPC), opening a path for those who want to serve in the Army CSM but need assistance meeting the standard. During my recent visit to I visited the “Why Wall” and met some of our ambitious FSPC Soldiers. Helocast and Zodiac event at the Best Squad Competition!

Soldiers participate in the 2024 U.S. Army Best Squad competition helocast and Zodiac event at Fort Liberty, N.C. on Oct. 4, 2024. Helocasting is an airborne technique used to insert troops into a military area of operations. The Zodiac event involved a "Zodiac" Marine & Pool F470 Combat Rubber Raiding Craft (CRRC) across the lake and maneuvering through a situational awareness test lane.
