La Casa is a 40-unit Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) building for previously chronically homeless males. The programβs highly vulnerable residents receive comprehensive on-site case management, supportive services, and 24-hour staffing. Services at La Casa are tailored to the unique needs of each participant.

Jonathan Whitted has been promoted to Vice President for Regional Programs. In this position, Jonathan will oversee the Veterans Division, AimHire, the Welcome Center Division, and The Brooks!
Community Solutions recently did a Q&A with Jonathan to spotlight Black leaders in the Built for Zero movement to solve .
Jonathan joined Friendship place as a Case Manager in the Veterans Division in 2012 and assumed growing responsibilities in the division, serving as Assistant Director and Director since 2022. His work has been recognized by regional and national partners.

A proud veteran, and former US Marshall Service Officer, Alan faced some of life's toughest challenges including joblessness, overcoming struggles of mental health difficulties, and homelessness.
Today, he shares his journey with with fellow unhoused veterans and thousands of others experiencing homelessness through his community engagement at Friendship Place.
