The Proposal Booth is pretty iconic if you ask us! Learn the history 👇🏼 John F. Kennedy lived two blocks from Martin’s. He dined here every Sunday in Booth #1. One evening, on June 24, 1953, JFK was dining at Booth #3 with Jacqueline Bouvier. Bouvier had just returned from London while covering the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II for the Washington Times Herald. On that night, JFK decided to propose! “The news ran through the restaurant,” other diners shared.

@gmfb played a game of 2 lies and a truth featuring Martin’s Tavern’s iconic buttermilk pancakes 🥞@sherree_burruss and the GMFB team, you’re welcome in Georgetown anytime! As Sherree mentioned, we serve pancakes until 4pm daily. And yes, Sherree has free pancakes for life! Come give them a try and see what all of the rave is about 🥞
