📢 Exciting News! Last week, the Philippines Department of Health (DOH) and Family Planning 2030 (FP2030) Asia Pacific Regional Hub successfully held the Asia-Pacific Focal Points Workshop in Manila! 🌏✨

Under the theme “Advancing Towards 2030: A Renewed Vision for Realizing Family Planning Rights and Choices through a Country-Led Model,” this four-day workshop aimed to strengthen our collective efforts in advancing family rights and choices.

We are thrilled to announce the release of "Overcoming Barriers to Family Planning in the Middle East," authored by Sara Haraoui, FP2030 Intern, on June 6th, 2024.

Sara, who grew up in the Middle East, delves into women's significant challenges in accessing family planning services in the region. This insightful piece explores stigma and taboos, religious influences, healthcare infrastructure, economic constraints, restrictive policies, and the lack of comprehensive education. Despite these barriers, the article highlights ongoing efforts by governments and civil society organizations to improve access and support for women.
