We have been so excited to welcome our DC Summer Youth cohort. They most recently enjoyed a behind the scenes tour with Athletics. Special thank you to Andrew Ruge and Sam Kukulich for making this happen for our youth! The DC Summer Youth Program is a locally funded initiative that provides District youth ages 14 to 24 with an enriching summer employment experience through subsidized placements in the public and private sectors.

We are continuing our celebration of Women's History Month by showcasing women leaders across GW.

Sabrina Minor, Vice President and Chief People Officer, brings more than 20 years of human resources experience in all areas, including performance management, workforce development, employee relations, talent management, organization development, classification and change management.

Minor joined GW in 2013 and was a human resources director and assistant vice president before her appointment as Vice President and Chief People Officer. Previously, she served in key human resources roles in the District government, including the mayor’s office, Department of Human Resources, D.C. Public Schools and for the chief financial officer. She received her B.S. in human resources management and development from Strayer University and was born and raised in the District of Columbia.

Minor oversees Human Resource Management and Development’s (HRMD) performance management, employee relations, recruitment, staffing, professional development and service-related functions; the HR business partner model; recognition and well-being; Total Rewards, which comprises payroll, compensation and benefits. One of HRMD’s focal areas is to enhance and strengthen how GW supports and values its people.

“Our people are core to everything we do at GW,” Minor said. “I am delighted to continue to lead the HRMD teams to attract new employees, retain current employees and bring together faculty and staff to fulfill our mission and goals.”
