Play & Thrive DC
We are play activist addressing the play inequity in DC. We cater to the play and developmental needs
Play and Thrive DC will host caregiver and child developmental play groups for infants, explorative play which is sensory driven, music classes, and puppet show all for FREE for qualifying families. We are in need of funding to secure a location and sensory materials such as ball pits, kinetic sand boxes, toys, books, arts and crafts, instruments, and baby gear.
Join us this Saturday, August 31 from 12-2 for a fun community event at the Anacostia Community Museum! We will be hosting a story time session followed by a sculpture clay art activity. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get creative and have a great time with your friends and family. Click the registration link in our bio to secure your spot. See you there! 🎨📚

Sensory playdate @ Barry Farms Rec
Under the Sea + Dino Digger
2023 was our slowest play year to date. The speed bumps we encountered slowed us down but didn’t stop our mission.
Now more than ever kids in Wards 7 and 8 need a safe space to play. Play is a human right and not a privilege. Help us play in 2024 and beyond by donating or volunteering. Links in bio.
We are all about using sensory driven play to help regulate little ones and to promote development. Swipe to learn the benefits. BTW sensory play is for adults too. I’m a self-proclaimed mermaid and aside from the soothing sound of waves, I love playing in the sand. Give me a day and I can build an entire sand city! How do y’all like to play? Is it sensory driven or not? Share below 👇
