The document defines the program requirements for training advanced cardiovascular imagers and uses the ACGME competency domain structure to identify the competencies required by all advanced cardiovascular imagers, as well as those who choose to specialize in a particular area. It also identifies recommendations for minimum procedural volume or technical experience to achieve and demonstrate competence as an advanced cardiovascular imager.
