Our Story
The Fleet & Family Readiness (FFR) Department at Naval Support Activity Washington provides all personnel (including active duty, retired military, reservists, DoD employees and family members) with a varied program of wholesome and constructive off-duty leisure activities that contribute to their quality of life while stationed here.
Our programs include Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Fleet & Family Support Center (FFSC) and the Visiting Flag Quarters (VFQ).
MWR includes our Fitness & Sports Program, the new Community Recreation program which includes Information and Resources, Tickets, Trips, Travel, Community Events/Activities, Special Events and other Recreational Programs and our Food and Beverage Program which includes the Catering and Conference Center and Mordecai Booth's Public House.
Our FFSC is new and growing, currently we offer Clinical Counseling, Crisis Response, Exceptional Family Member Program, Family Advocacy Progam, Ombudsman Programs and Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention. As we continue to grow, more services will be added, until then we refer to the Joint Base Anacostia Bolling Military and Family Support Center.
The VFQ serves as Chief of Naval Operations guest quarters. The quarters provide temporary accommodations travelers the grade of O-7 and above, Senior Executive Service and their spouses.
