Blessings! If your schedule is free, please plan to attend the free Health & Wellness Day on Saturday, August 10th from 10 AM - 3 PM in Upper Marlboro, MD. There will be low-intensity exercise throughout the day along with fun Health professionals & Vendors. We serve various shelters and outdoor, unhoused neighbors around the city who are in need of lunches and home cooked meals! Show us your skills, gain some community service hours or make it a family affair!

New: D.C.'s first drug-free zones after the passage of Secure DC will go into effect tomorrow at 8 a.m. They'll be centered around:
-The Gallery Place Metro station
-The Woodland Terrace public housing complex in Ward 8
-The intersection of Minnesota Ave/Benning Road in Ward 7

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: PLEASE SHARE WITH YOUR NETWORKS

Purple Stars Foundation DC has signed up for the following shift for the Rock n Roll Marathon on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 11am to 330pm. Volunteers are needed and there are other shifts to choose from throughout the weekend.

Community Service hours will be given (if needed) , volunteer shirt, bag, water, snack and other free goodies will also be provided. Reach out to us ASAP if you or anyone you know is interested and available.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Warning for DC until 10am tomorrow, 1/16. Moderate to heavy snow fall is expected this evening with total snow accumulations reaching 4-6 inches.
– If possible, please stay off the roads to make room for DC Snow Team crews to work. If you must drive, do so carefully!
