More than 134,000 Nigerians have signed a petition urging the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Asia to revoke Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State's visa.
The petitioners asserted that Governor Wike has been attempting to disrupt Rivers State's voting process and stirring violence there because he thinks he can leave the country anytime he pleases.
The petition's initiator, Onyebuchi Ezeagabu, stated, "The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has been working to sabotage the electoral process in the state he oversees.
"He is inciting unrest in Rivers State because he believes he may leave the country at any time," says the source.
We demand that his family's eligibility for a visa be terminated right away.
134,500 Nigerians have signed the petition as of the time this report was submitted.

Former governor of Edo State Adams Oshiomhole has criticized his predecessor, Governor Godwin Obaseki, for breaking campaign pledges to the state's citizens.
At the gathering, Mr. Oshiomhole, a former national chairman of the APC, addressed the crowd of party supporters and said, "You know, the last time I cautioned you to be careful about the governorship election."
"Did I not say so? Did I not mention that? Where are we right now? What city are we in? Where is the industrial park? Where is the port located? Where is the brand-new home development? Where is the rice farm located? Where is the mechanic village?

On Thursday, Governor Obaseki claimed that Mr. Oshiomhole was "trying to sell lies in a desperate bid to revive his dead political career."
