🍂 DCFC Family Day is this Saturday, 10/26!
Hosted by our families and parents, this will be our 2️⃣nd & final family day cookout and fundraiser of 2024.
📍 It will take place at Edgewood Recreation Center (300 Evarts Street NE DC) from 12pm-6pm.
⚽️ DCFC teams will be playing 3️⃣ EDP league games back-to-back during the event (U15 boys at 12 pm, U16 boys at 1:30 pm, and U15 girls at 4:30 pm) against local teams from Maryland and Virginia.
🌮 During the games our families will be serving food (Pupusas!), drinks, and selling merchandise to fundraise for .
We look forward to seeing you there! Vamos DCFC! 🫶🏽

💡OGP Alumni Spotlight: Jonathan Guevara 🔵⚪️
Jonathan is in his senior year at Marymount University, and he continues to play a key role on the team. 🔑
Last season Jonathan was tied for the team lead in assists and saw action in all 20 games. 🫡
This year he is on pace to be a team leader in goal contributions again. The Saints are 3-3-1 going into their next match at Stevenson University tomorrow 9/18 at 4pm.

the cost for a talented youth soccer player to compete can exceed several thousand dollars per year, a price tag many players simply cannot afford. in addition to the youth pay-to-play system pricing players out, lack of parental knowledge and involvement and transportation challenges act as hidden barriers to entry to players from underserved communities. after seeing these barriers first hand, we at Open Goal Project have developed a model that empowers talented players and their families to access opportunities for growth, on and off the field.
