George M. Ferris Jr. Clubhouse 6- BGCGW Branch Director, Andrea Broaddus, was on hand to receive a donation from longtime BGCA supporter, Ross Dress for Less. The retailer has been a national corporate partner of Boys & Girls Clubs for more than 10 years and provides many grants to Clubs across the country every year. “Donations like this are important because it allows the Club to improve the (homework help) Power Hour program. Clubs can purchase additional supplies, incentives for the ‘Power Hour store,’ and get more creative with programming and materials to ensure the youth have the optimal Club experience,” said Robbil Coleman, Director of Operations, DC Region.

"The Club is like a second home...!" Elias has been a part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington since he was six years old. Recently, funding for his Club was under scrutiny and slated to be cut. He, and other Club kids, took action. They spoke to local news stations about the importance of keeping their Club open. They advocated for their programs and mentors. Where did they learn to hone their public speaking skills? Where did they learn advocacy? At the Club! This fall, BGCGW is launching a campaign asking the community to go “ALL IN” for Club kids like Elias. Your donation will help ensure that every Club kid has access to opportunity and a pathway to their future. Help us keep the momentum going!
