October is Eczema Awareness month💡💫Eczema is also known as Atopic Dermatitis, and it is the most common form of skin inflammation. The National Eczema Association (NEA) is a great resource for those with eczema to learn more about this condition. There are many triggers for eczema, including perfume, harsh soaps, and even fragrances laundry detergent. If you can think of any other general tips for managing eczema, comment here 💜

The National Council’s Don’t Fry Day committee has created a wonderful toolkit for this year’s campaign. We encourage you to use the images, infographics, and messaging during Melanoma Awareness Month. We welcome organizations, advocates, influencers, practitioners, educators, families, individuals–anyone who would like to spread awareness in their communities. No matter how big or small your audience, you have the ability to encourage sun safe behavior and save lives!

Congratulations to Learn2Derm on their FOURTH Skin Health Fair event! Like last year, Learn2Derm will host the The Skin Cancer Foundation’s Destination Healthy Skin RV, offering free skin checks by board-certified dermatologists.
Learn2Derm will provide education on skin conditions, including acne, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, eczema, alopecia, seborrheic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and psoriasis. The event will be fun and engaging for all age groups, offering various stations and skin-health oriented activities. There will be plenty of free sunscreen samples and skin care products plus prizes!
This year, Learn2Derm will also feature Viva Vita's Virtual Reality station, which consists of beautiful virtual tours designed to engage and relax users, families, seniors and the communities that care for them. Through virtual reality, Viva Vita aims to improve mental wellness and quality of life for seniors.
