🚍📣 Seniors aged 65 and older! You are eligible for FREE rides on all fixed route buses, allowing you to travel through Washington County and into Downtown Pittsburgh.

FIXED ROUTE FARE CHANGES:
Following a comprehensive public comment period, Freedom Transit will implement a new fare structure for our fixed route buses, effective July 1, 2024. This updated fare system is designed to streamline our current zone structure, eliminate the need for riders to carry change, and align our rates with industry standards.
Fare Restructure Highlights:
▪️Simplified Fare Categories: The number of fare categories will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) for user ease.
▪️Washington County Travel: A flat fare of $2.00 for all fixed route travel within Washington County.
▪️Allegheny County Travel: A flat fare of $4.00 for all fixed route travel to/from Allegheny County.

The Transit Center is closed today in observance of Memorial Day. We will resume normal operations tomorrow.
In observance of Memorial Day, the Washington Transportation Center will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024. Fixed route service will not be operating. Shared ride services will operate on a normal schedule. Shared ride passengers who need trips for Monday, May 27, 2024, should contact Freedom Transit at 724-223-8747 before noon today.

We offer fixed route service in Washington County , as well as into Downtown Pittsburgh. Our main service areas, at this time, are Washington, Houston, Meadowlands, Canonsburg, Muse, Cecil, and McDonald.
Our Washington local routes, Local A & Local B, service the City of Washington and combine both residential and commercial locations.
Some of the stops along our Local A service include Washington Hospital, Washington Transit Center, Thomas Campbell Apartments, Northgate & Westgate Apartments, Washington High School, Maple Terrace Apartments, Washington Park, Citizen’s Library, Washington Court House, and Washington Shop N’ Save.
