Be ‘that girl’!! 🔥🔥🤦🏼♀️
LOOK 👀 AT ALL THAT HAIR!!! This is AFTER we took out 3 packs of hair extensions & refreshed her color! Wow! We used for all of her hair needs for this appointment. Joico intensity colors, washed with the Joico hydrosplash shampoo & conditioner, used the 7 second bond rebuilder In a Flash, followed up with their lusterlock leave in conditioner/heat protectant, and a little serum. Blow out, and some gorgeous, luscious waves 🌊 Healthy, vibrant, and hydrated! Whats your hair routine? Need help with knowing what products to use in your hair? Reach out! I’d love to help.
Truly an amazing transformation! Look what a color correction & hair extensions can do! One of my all times faves!!!

!!!!!!!!!PROMO ALERT!!!!!!!!!
I’ve decided to run a promo to promote more DAYTIME clients. Yes daytime. Meaning clients with availability to book for daytime appointments. Refer a friend that can come during the day, and you BOTH will get 20% off your next in person appointment. Sounds crazy? But does it? As I get older, have worked nights and weekends all of my life, I’m looking to phase that out a little bit. Don’t worry I’m still going to work both for as long as I can. However I’m leaning on aiming for 3 nights only, and /or ending my day by 6 on the other 2 days. I haven’t offered a promo like this since I was a new independent stylist. Quality of life has become super important to me. I hope you all understand & support my journey. I want to continue to be in this industry, and provide great work.
Currently my schedule is Sunday -Thursdays . Typically 8:30/9 to 7/8
Some days tho I’m there 9-9 to accommodate everyone for nights
Also booking ahead if possible in your schedule is recommended. Currently booking out the rest of this year. I will open 2025 books in Oct.
To refer a friend/family/coworker share my business number, Instagram link 🔗 or Fb link. Both have my business number & email on the info portion of the pages. Once they reach out and book you will both receive a text with the code to use at your NEXT Appt . Super easy! Plus you all refer friends all the time anyways. Here’s a lil incentive for a daytime client, and a thank you, and helps my schedule become more conducive to a healthier lifestyle/schedule for me. Balance ⚖️ is the goal.
GRATITUDE 🙏 thankful for all the amazing support, following me, and referring me! ESP on the community forums! Wow! I’m always so shocked to see how much you all go hard for me! Means so much. My tribe! 🪨🤘🏻💋🥰💯💣 ❌⭕️ Nicki J

Do you knowledge bomb or keep it simple with your clients? 🤔 Thanks for breaking it down, ! 💯🙌
•
Should we get scientific with clients during a consultation? 🤔 lmk what you think in the comments .
I used to absolutely knowledgbomb clients when I first met them but I realised the more I explained the more could be misinterpreted 🫥
So the last few years now I keep everything very simple and ‘need to know’ and pedestrian laungage . Curious to see what works for others
The toner if you’re curious was 09v and 09t equal parts in
*altext: two bleach platinum blonde clients are side by side with noticeable different in the tonality of the hair.
Balayage a French term for free hand painting of the hair 👩🍳💋🤌🏻

Huge difference

Why is hair so expensive now? 🤑
Let’s take a look at what you used to get versus what you get now:
In the past, even girls with thick hair, who were getting full foils, typically needed only 2 hr appointments at most. Now, the time spent in the chair, along with the variety of techniques and products used throughout the process, has nearly tripled.
The quality of products has significantly improved, focusing on maintaining your hair’s health rather than just lightening it.
With new trends and styles emerging every three months, our artists must take many expensive education courses to stay current and capable of delivering the looks you want.
The point is, you’re getting better hair that lasts longer between appointments and doesn’t damage your hair in one session. Our artists deserve fair compensation for their hard work and expertise.
But don’t be discouraged! If you have a budget, let us know so we can create a custom plan that meets your needs. Also, remember we offer Afterpay, so you can get what you want at a reasonable price.
We love having you in our chair and work tirelessly to give you the best of the best. Trust us, we don’t take our clients lightly.👌🏽👌🏽
Love a good chop ✂️ and of course some blonde! 👱♀️ We put some time into lots and lots of baby-lites on this one ☝️
Yassss!!!! 🎀🪩✂️🖌️💗
What’s left from this list. BUTTTT added is tomorrow night, and the 19th at 5pm. If you need a schedule for September please text me. It’s almost filled but a few spots open. Book ahead when possible. Thank you! 🌸💕🌸
“I am a hair dresser”
“Oh how cool! I would love to sit around and play with hair all day”
“Thanks I really love it”
“I wanted to do that too but I had to get a real job”
I chose my profession, yes I said profession. I have an education; believe it or not I am not dumb.
I have a license that probably looks similar to the one in your accountant’s office.
“So in beauty school they just teach you how to braid hair and stuff?”
“Yes, we did learn how to braid, along with all the bones and muscles in the body, along with chemistry, electricity, along with business, along with anatomy and physiology”
“Oh wow, I don’t see why you need all that just to cut hair”
I was taught how to properly help you achieve the look you are wanting while maintaining the integrity of your hair. But I have also dropped my head in defeat because I couldn’t get Sara’s hair to move from black to white in two hours. Then drove home in tears because I knew Sara was a walking un-happy billboard for my business. And although I did everything I knew to do Sara isn’t happy. In tears because I knew Sara would tell everyone who would listen about how “that stupid hairdresser” ruined her hair, while leaving out that she was dishonest about the history of her hair.
I do get upset when I hear “I’m going to hair school; I already know everything so I just need to be certified. Since I’m so good I might as well get paid for it” If you are that good I am happy for you. But having the “I already know everything” mentality is going out the window the first time a screaming 2 year old sits in your chair. When he moves and screams louder with every cut you make. I have walked out the back door of the salon more than once wondering if his mother was going to put a review about me on Google, or Yelp or if I would get my own Facebook rant. Because her little boy looks terrible because of the “horrible experience” he had with “that stupid Hairdresser”
I have cried with clients while touching up their roots for their parents, or worse their child’s funeral.
I have curled little girls for the Daddy/Daughter dance listening to them tell me how they are going to look just like Cinderella! While I hope to get home in time to at least get a picture of my little boy before he leaves let alone have time to do his hair.
I hear “I would love to go into work at 10”. Yes I open at 10 that doesn’t mean my day starts at 10! Just because we “close” at 6 doesn’t mean we leave at 6.
I hear “I would come to you but your prices are too high”. Again I have an education that wasn’t free. I have booth rent, I have to pay for any and every product I use on your head. If my thinning shears pull your hair it’s because they need sharpening, that’s not free. And I have to use Ken to sharpen them because the last time Dave did it they got bent, and had to be replaced. Those aren’t free.
I can’t turn away a client because they are sick I just have to pray I don’t catch it. Health insurance doesn’t come in our lack-of-benefits package. And it’s a good thing that in school we stopped playing with each others hair long enough to learn business because I am the only one looking out for my retirement.
So the next time you may be in a hair chair think of the person helping you. The person who had the courage to bet on themselves and walk away from job security, guaranteed income, insurance, a 401k plan, and family dinner to stand behind you.
I am a hairdresser
I have the crooked fingers, scared knuckles, burnt fingertips, and sore feet to prove it!
