Happy thumping Thursday my sweet friends and family! Sorry I haven’t updated what’s been going on but it’s been an emotional roller coaster the last few weeks but I felt you needed to know what was going on.
The month of April I spent many days in the hospital but little could be done about my situation and the doctors were feeling at loss of solutions for what I was going through. Hospice entered our conversations and after talking to my children we had accepted this route and I was going to let the doctor know. April 26th, I went to see the doctor in Iowa City and let her know what we were going to do. After my CT scan I met the oncologist and she said things were looking better and suggested I wait on hospice as she really felt with patience things would get better. I came home confused but full of hope again. It’s been weeks of crazy emotions but with the help of my oncologist and God’s strength we are fighting on. I still have rough days and my daily activity has slowed down immensely but I’m grateful for God taking care of all of this and showing me He has it all under control. I go to Iowa City this coming Tuesday and will have another CT scan done to see how things are going. I’ll also find out if we will start chemo again or if they have a different direction they want to take me in. I leave it all in God’s hands. He is the ultimate healer and knows what is best for us.
I do have some prayer request if you could please add them to your list.
1. Continued healing and to keep my pain under control.
2. That my medical team continues to find ways to improve my quality of life.
3. For my family and friends that are helping me through this process of life.

All props are up and working, nativity is also up ready to go! Most importantly this year we will continue with the Letters to Santa so get them in from your kids as early as you want! Santa maybe replying from a Labor and Delivery room this year, but we will make sure all letters will continue to get a personalized response! Hope everyone is as excited as we are!!
