The Waterloo Center for the Arts' purpose is to initiate and further awareness, appreciation, and support of the arts by a diverse audience. Located within the Art Center is the Phelps Youth Pavilion, our Children's Museum. Phelps Youth Pavilion hours are:

Gather with friends in downtown Waterloo, Iowa to experience an amazing selection of craft and domestic products from a variety of vendors.
General festival admission includes unlimited samples from over 40 different vendors with food available from some local Cedar Valley favorites along with a commemorative tasting glass.

Holiday Arts Festival: Call for Artists
The Waterloo Center for the Arts' Holiday Arts Festival has been happening annually for over 50 years. It is the Cedar Valley’s premier indoor arts festival, kicking off the holiday shopping season.

Saturday, November 9 | 9:00am - 4:00pm
Sunday, November 10 | 9:00am - 4:00pm
- All mediums welcome.
- Emerging artists are encouraged to apply.
Inquire about sponsorships.
- Early setup available.
- Average attendance 2500-3000.
- Extra hands for loading, unloading, and booth-sitting.
- Onsite dining options available for purchase.
- Artists are expected to participate both days.
- Overnight security will be provided.
Booth sizes:
Small: $50, 8' X 8' or smaller (sponsorships available)
Standard: $100, 10' X 10'
Large: $200, 10" X 20'

Day 2 of Clay Camp with 9-13 year olds is off to a smashing success! We have some very talented kiddos this year. Tomorrow we will celebrate with handmade bowls of ice cream!

The Waterloo Center for the Arts continues its summer outdoor movie series this weekend on Friday, July 26 as Agent M & Agent K save the Earth from the intergalactic menace in Men In Black!
Gates will open at 7:30 pm at the RiverLoop Amphitheatre and the movie will start at sunset or 9:00 pm. Admission is free and food and beverages will be available for purchase at the concessions stand and from Sweets ‘N’ Teas who will also be on-site selling some delicious drinks to quench your thirst. This incredible movie series would not be possible without the generous support from Friends of the Art Center, TruStage RD Foundation, UNI Art Department & GreenState Credit Union!

Hot out of the kiln are some very cute fused glass bugs. Thanks to everyone that participated in last week’s class! These colorful critters can be picked up at the front desk, more fused glass classes will be offered this fall.
A BIG thank you to Randy from the Art & Craft Studio for pouring all the molds for our upcoming fall classes! It takes several months to get all the holiday trees and pumpkins made. Today staff went and toured the facility with Hawkeye Community College students. Look for our fall class schedule in September!
