A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Church, 1500 E Melgaard Rd, Aberdeen, SD 57401 on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11am. Registration for this class is required.
To join the class and learn basic quilting techniques in a class setting, you will need basic knowledge of your sewing machine and be 16 years or older, (10-14 years old may attend with adult).
You will begin each block in class and complete it at home for the first 3 class weeks. The final class will be for assembling the completed blocks to create a 3 block table runner.
Supplies you will need:
Your own full size sewing machine.
Sewing machine needles (12 or 14 universal or top stitch)
Spool of cotton thread (neutral shade like light beige).
2 full bobbins (same thread in each)
Sewing Pins
Scissors
1 yd. fabric for backing (on the last night of class)
Everything else will be supplied.
This program is in partnership with the Magic Needler Quilt Guild of Watertown.

Supplies: 5 skeins of Medium yarn 489 yds each
Size I-9 (5.5mm) hook
Tapestry Needle
Bring your own supplies if you want a certain color pattern or use yarn we have available.
Starting Wednesdays, 3-5 pm in the South Dakota Room.
