Not sure? Me either. 💚

I live on a very quiet road. When I walk with my dogs, I can often close my eyes and let them lead me, that’s how quiet it is.

Yesterday on my walk, there was the same quiet I am used to and there was also this strange silence within the quiet that I have never experienced before. It was hollow and bewildering. I felt scared and confused and so very sad. It felt like the sense of peace I normally feel on my walk had been stolen.

I do not know this feeling. I do not recognize it. It is not in my vocabulary and I cannot name it.

But, I can feel it. I can put my hands on the earth and feel. I can cry big messy tears and let them fall from my face to the earth. And I can make wishes on dandelions, asking the divine to please send the light.

Please send the light.

Well, H-E-L-L-O! It's been a minute since I've posted anything on this page. I'm in a very transitional phase with my business these days and I'm not sure what role social media will play in the future. I have a real love/hate relationship with it that I haven't quite resolved. And while my passions and creations are incubating, I've been feeling that the best way to honor this process is to allow it to unfold behind the scenes for now. But I do have something I want to share today.

I've been sitting on this for several weeks, feeling into how or if and when I would acknowledge this. Here is what my heart has settled on...

This plaque is not about being recognized for being the best at anything. It is symbolic of the efforts of so many amazing humans who choose to lead with their hearts.

It says that I was trained well.....so thank you to the amazing instructors at Panacea School Of Integrative Health who put their heart and soul into sharing their passion for this work with others. I have taken what you taught me and made it my own, something I am deeply proud of and brings me great joy.

And most importantly,

It says that I have amazing women in my life, clients who are thoughtful, kind, and who see the value in putting their energy into lifting another woman up. Women who understand the value of reciprocity. Women who have come to realize that bodywork and energy work are more than just tools for relaxation. Women who know that when they allow themselves to receive, they have more love to give. Women who feel and sense the deep truth that when we help one sister rise, we help all of us to rise.

And the real truth is that being "The Best" Massage Therapist isn't actually even a thing. Every single human in this field offers this work in their own unique style with their own unique touch and frequency. We are each artists with a craft all our own. You cannot compare one to another because the energy behind them is not equal. Sure, there are preferences and sure, some touch feels better than others. But comparing and categorizing people who do this work is like saying one birdsong in the forest is better than the other. No, the song of the chickadee and the song of the sparrow are each completely different and exquisitely beautiful on their own. The same is true for each and every bodyworker.

In my little neck of the woods, the ducks returned yesterday to the pond out back and even though the pond is not ready to open fully, they have found refuge in the only corner with open water. I look forward to their return every year and they are right on time.

It may be a bit before the tulips and daffodils are ready to bloom but there is so much magic in motion right now. Buds are forming, earth is melting, and last years fallen seeds are collecting energy and excitement from the sun right now as they prepare to burst forth anew again.

We gather again on February 26th and we'll be diving into the Sisterwound. Notice the sensations in your body when you read that.....if it stirs or rumbles something in you....maybe circle is just where you need to be.

This is a tough one for a lot of women! Like anything though, being open to receive is a practice.

Relax, be present, let go of the need to control, even 1% less than you normally do. If a friend offers to pay for lunch, let them. If someone lets you skip ahead in line at the grocery store, say thank you. If you've asked for a sign from the universe, surrender and trust that it will come.

Align yourself with the energy of receiving and allow the gifts flow to you.

Sacred intention 🌹…..it’s more than thought alone. Intention is crafted in words, but carries the weight of your soul and has the power to arrive in every cell of your body.

The power of our thoughts can literally command changes in our energy field.

How have others described you? Warm, friendly, loving, trustworthy, bestie, soul sister, mentor, creative, visionary. Or how about bitch, sneaky, selfish, rude, inconsiderate, whiny, too emotional, too loud, too fat, too skinny, too much.

Labels belong on food packages. They are made to keep us in a box, keep us small, and to confine us, but they never, ever define us.

You, beautiful, brilliant soul, are the only one who gets to say who you are. And if you have to reinvent yourself through a thousand deaths and rebirths in this lifetime, you get to do that too. You are pure potential and your power as a woman is boundless and limitless. Don't let anyone, especially yourself, label you as anything else.

2023 is all about my health! Cleansing, detoxing, drainage pathways, parasites, heavy metals, Lyme and it’s nasty coinfections, adrenals….it’s all on the table for healing!

I'm a day late with well wishes for the New Year and that's intentional. The energy that comes with the first day of a new year is palpable. Yesterday was full of excitement over possibilities and enthusiasm for what is coming, what we're calling into our lives.

This energy is so strong and powerful and it's my wish for all of us that we are able to tap into it on every new day of the year. It's always there if we choose to align ourselves with it!

“What are you doing today?” He asked.

“Resting.” She said.

“But you have so much to do!” He said.

Ugh, I do have so much to do today. Don’t we all! But I woke this morning with aches so deep I could feel them in my bones. My head was foggy, my womb-space tender from my emerging cycle.

I got up for a drink of water and went back to bed with a tear in my eye, ready to cry a good cry over what wouldn’t get done today.

And then I realized what my body was gifting me today, the day of the Winter Solstice. The day the sun stands still and rests; the longest night to sleep. My body is showing me on this very day what needs to change in the coming year. No more pushing and trying and efforting to the point of exhaustion. No more doing, when I know I should be pausing. No more relying on the masculine and denying my feminine.

My body is going to be nurtured and loved and healed in the coming year in ways it has been asking for a long, long time. Today I am grateful for the sun standing still, showing me that I too can rest. I am grateful for my warm, cozy home, my dogs who love me unconditionally, and my family who will come home to a warm meal that I will eventually prepare this afternoon.

This is the energy available to us at the time of the Winter Solstice. We can take the time to sit with ourselves and let our inspirations build slowly this winter into what we’d like to have grow and bloom come spring.

And yes, there is still a lot to do, but today I rest.

Wishing you all a joy-filled day and long winter’s night sleep tonight. And may you give yourself permission to rest, if that is what your body is calling for.

What doesn't get released, gets stored. Unexpressed hurt, pain, and shame gets recycled in our bodies, in our interactions with others and especially in our closest relationships.

Many women who see me who apologize for their tears and for sharing "too much" of what is going on for them. I tell them all the same thing, "Never, ever apologize for the love that falls from your eyes."

One of my super powers is listening and holding the space of a truly compassionate witness to the struggles women face in this often messy world.

We do not need to be fixed. We do not need thicker skin. We do not need to stuff it inside and carry it all by ourselves. Being seen, being heard, being witnessed is sometimes all an aching heart needs.

🦋 You are your own medicine.
💗 You are the light, the light is you.
🌈 You have all the answers you need inside of you.

While this is true for each of us, sometimes it’s nice to have a little help along the way.
