Only a few days away from camp! Here are the camp offerings and freshmen bus schedule.

6-9th grade begins June 3rd at 2:30pm - 6pm.

Varsity and JV begins June 4 at 8am - 11am.

🚨 Attention Incoming Freshmen🚨

Our freshman football camp will begin monday June 3rd from 2:30 - 6pm. Learn how to lift, learn our system, and set the foundation for the future. Start your high school career on the right path!

This is also open for incoming 6-8th graders to meet the freshman staff and learn the high school expectations. Message within or email head freshmen coach Darrell Thomas for more information.

Bus transportation will also be available. More details coming soon.

Our summer camp is around the corner!

You can fill out the google sheet below to sign up. Athletes will be given a camp t-shirt, and can be donated cleats based on the available sizes. You can also sign up and attend multiple camps.

Our 1st session runs from June 4th - June 27th
2nd session begins July 9th - July 26th.

Sophmore DB Marshon Brown is getting a glimpse of college life at Duke. Nice job young man 🫡

Congrats to Marshon and Ivan on their acceptance and scholarships to participate in the National Student Leadership Conference!! This summer they will spend 10 days living on campus at Duke University and attend their medicine and health care program. During their stay at Duke, they’ll live in the dorms, participate in classes that introduce them to the medical field, and explore Research Triangle Park.

Congrats Marshon and Ivan, we’re proud of you both!

‼️ Middle school spring camp ‼️

There is still time to join the middle school 7 on 7 team! We have 2 teams this season, 6-7th grade and 7-8th grade, so there is plenty of opportunity to gain experience for each level.

We are looking for a few more players for each grade, so please come on by and check us out this week 3:30pm at the brookside campus. Enter door 15.

The first Waukegan Youth Football registration date is this Saturday from 10am - 12pm! Sign them up to learn the basics of football. Levels are organized by age and weight. Enter through door 11. See you tomorrow!

Our middle school athletes are grinding it out on the field and weight room before their first 7 on 7 game April 8th. This is a great program for 1st timers to pick up the game of football, learn how to lift properly, and for multi-sport athletes to add to their resume 🏈⚽️🏀⚾️🏐

Any middle school parents that want to get their child involved in our strength and conditioning program and play 7 on 7 football after spring break, can message our page, or email Coach Tom Whipple for more info ([email protected]).

Middle schoolers return to camp April 1st at the Brookside Campus! GO BULLDOGS!

Nice job Brent!! Brent is a freshmen lineman and is our top weight room participant in the program. He also helps his teammates with homework before we lift. He’s an example of leading from front and shows it everyday. Keep up the good work!!

Our spring camp is around the corner! We will have an informational meeting Feb 28th in the Brookside team room at 3:30 pm. Parents/guardians are HIGHLY encouraged to attend.

The camp is open for high schoolers, and 6-8th graders starting March 4th.

Our camp consists of strength and conditioning, sports performance skills, and a 7 on 7 league. This is a great opportunity for first timers and Jr. Bulldogs to learn how to weightlift properly, and prepare for the 2024 season.

The big game is this week, and we got a Bulldog in the Super Bowl!

Abimael Cruz is a graduate from the class of 2014. During his Waukegan days, Cruz attended Jack Benny Middle School and played several years of Waukegan Chiefs/Jr. Bulldogs Youth Football. In high school, Cruz was a 2 year starting cornerback, was involved in the weight room, and ran track all 4 years.

After high school, Cruz attended the University of Iowa, and graduated with a bachelor’s in sport and recreational management, and a minor in business administration. He began an internship with the Iowa athletic department covering winter sports, and began another internship with the Chicago Blackhawks’ corporate partnership department. After his internships, Cruz landed a role with the Atlanta Hawks as a membership sales consultant.

Cruz is now a senior SBL sales consultant for the San Francisco 49ers and has sold millions of dollars in revenue.

Cruz is a shining example of success through relentless effort at Waukegan. We wish him luck this weekend and in his future endeavors!

The Waukegan Jr. Bulldogs are looking for youth coaches!

The Jr. Bulldogs are the only youth football organization associated with Waukegan High School, and has served this community tremendously for over 30 years.

Learn the way of the Waukegan Bulldogs and be a part of a successful organization. Those who have playing experience or have worked with youth in our area are highly recommended to check it out! Coaches can begin volunteering march 4th during the High School spring camp.

Have a middle schooler that is interested in football or want them to learn how to lift properly? Bring them to our middle school strength and conditioning program! 🏋🏻‍♂️

We are offering this until the end of the school year. Learn how to lift safely and prepare for our middle school 7 on 7 in March. No cost, just show up! Scan the QR code to pre register.

Reminder that this Sunday is our NFC/AFC Championship fundraiser at Booners place! Fesitivities begin at 1pm until the champions are crowned.

$20 Early bird tickets are available, so please reach out to a member of the coaching staff. After that, it will be $25 at the door.

The Waukegan Football program will be looking for volunteers at the freshman level for our spring camp in March, as well as our 2024 summer camp.

If you have a passion to serve the community while gaining valuable coaching experience, this is a great opportunity for you. Those who have experience working with the youth are highly encouraged to volunteer.

Time spent as a volunteer can lead to a stipend position in the Summer and 2024-2025 season.

Our first annual NFL Championship fundraiser is Sunday Jan 28th from 1pm til the end of the second game at Booners Place! Purchase of a ticket enters you into a raffle, along with free food and discounted drinks.

Alumni, former players, and community members are highly encouraged to come by. All proceeds come back to the football program!

We have the Dawgs going after their 3 Rep Maxes before thanksgiving break! We’re getting a baseline of our strength level before we take some well deserved time off. Successs starts in the off-season! GO BULLDOGS!!

Update! Freshman game has moved to 4:30.

The Bulldogs finish with victories at both levels this weekend. We appreciate the parents, students, and the community for being flexible through all the last minute changes. On to Maine West!

Tomorrow’s home game against Round Lake has been moved to Round Lake at 6pm.

Due to outside interference NOT involved with Waukegan Athletics, the decision was made to change the venue.

We apologize and cant wait to give you Friday Night Lights at Weiss at the next one.
