Laurette Ndombi Kingambo, born on October 20, 1989, in Tshikapa, was the beloved daughter of Damas Ndombi and Therese Biuma. She was a cherished sister to Huguette, Serge, Sammy, Jonathan, Davina, and Christelle Ndombi. As an aunt, she held a special place in the hearts of Cindy-Miley, Ashley, Hailey, Noah, and Zoe.

Laurette was the devoted wife of Shadrac Kingambo and the loving owner of her beloved puppy, Snow Kimia. Her life was a testament to her strong faith and dedication to God, serving Him in every way possible. She had a beautiful voice and loved singing, often using her talent to praise and worship God.

She was a faithful wife, a loving daughter, a supportive sister, and a good friend. A graduate of the University Protestant Of Congo, Laurette earned a degree in rural and development economics in 2015. She was known for her kindness, her unwavering love for her family, and her friendship to many.

Laurette had a passion for food, travel, dressing up well, and music. These joys enriched her life and brought happiness to those around her. Her passing has deeply affected all who knew her. Her family appreciates all the support and condolences during this difficult time.

Loved by many, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Frankie Torres, 47 of Waukegan, peacefully passed away at home on June 11, 2024. He was born on February 21, 1977 in Libertyville, IL and remained a lifelong area resident. Frankie was a member of Vertical Encounter Church. He was a dear husband, father, with good morals and a good heart. He loved his pets, his hot wheel cars collection and enjoyed making tik tok videos in his spare time. He was a warrior who fought against all odds till his last day.

Frankie is survived by his dear wife of nearly 27 years, Brenda Torres; his two children, Mya (Brandon) and Adam, his father Ruben Torres, extended family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his dear mother Nohemi Benavides (2022).

Antonio Rosado Jr., 49 years old, passed away on May 20, 2024. Antonio was born on March 17, 1975 in Waukegan and remained a lifelong area resident. He was the middle child, son of Gloria Diana Hinojosa and the late Antonio Rosado Sr.

Antonio was a quiet man who kept to himself but enjoyed FaceTiming his girlfriend and sharing a cup of coffee every morning. He will be dearly missed by his dear mom, Gloria Diana Hinojosa; sisters Diana Rosado and Eleonora Rosado; his two nieces Deeanna and Sofia; four nephews Julian, Sergio, Mikel, and Reggie Jeff; his dear girlfriend Jemma, extended family and many friends.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Lawanda Louise Mason, who peacefully departed this life on May 23, 2024, at her home in North Chicago, Illinois. Born on May 14, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, Lawanda lived a vibrant and impactful life, characterized by her dedication to her family, her community, and her passions.

Lawanda is survived by her three beloved children: Dr. LaCher Edwards-Wathen (Travis), Edwena Edwards, and Willie Edwards Jr. Her legacy is carried forward by her cherished grandchildren: Delown, DeMonte, Onjelic, Tyjania, Onjelina, Crei, Camion, Dornell Jr., Savannah, Serene, Onjolie, and Wes, and her precious great-grandchildren, Callixto and Azuri. She also leaves behind her loving aunts, Rowena and Jovella, her dear uncle Jeffrey, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Life long friend Juanita, and best friend Sue (childrens Godmother) who will miss her deeply.

Preceded in death by her mother, Linda Mason, and her siblings, Lawrence, Antoine, Bavia, and Roslyn, Lawanda's memory will be forever treasured by those who knew and loved her.

Lawanda was a proud member of the Black Panther Party and the LGBTQA+ community, and a faithful member of the Divine Church of Christ. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, collecting, watching movies, music, and reading books. Known for her sassy and sweet personality, she touched the hearts of everyone she met.

Lawanda was a dedicated nurse, who bravely battled breast cancer for 25 years with unwavering strength and grace.

Lawanda Louise Mason's warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed. May she rest in eternal peace.

Carmen Xiomara Zeron, 48 years old, passed away in an accident on May 8, 2024. Carmen was born on June 16, 1975 in Juticalpa, Olancho, Honduras. She was the youngest daughter of Jose del Carmen Garcia and Castorina Zeron Galindo. Carmen met the love of her life, Pedro Jesus Ulloa at the age of 19. They married in 2006. Carmen was an exceptional wife, hard worker and always attentive to her family's needs. She is survived by her husband Pedro, their children Bryan Jesus Ulloa Zeron (20) and daughter Nicole Ulloa Zeron (18); as well as her siblings Oscar Morales, Olga Matute, Antonio Galindo, Carlos Zeron, Patricia Zeron, Jose Zeron, y Licha Zeron; extended family in Florida, New York, North Carolina, and Honduras; and many dear friends.

Carmen is now at rest, alongside both parents and her oldest brother. Her family extends their heartfelt appreciation for your condolences at this time. David Flores, 84 years old, passed away on April 11, 2024. The youngest son of Damian Flores and Isabel Miguel. David was born in Jalisco, Mexico, on April 22, 1939. David was an exemplary husband, a good father, the best grandpa and father in law. He was a hard working, honest man, who was also dad to many of his grandkids. He loved horses and could often be seen wearing his cowboy hat and boots. He met who would soon become his wife, Maria S. De La Cruz, 56 years ago at a Plaza in Mexico. Together they had 9 children, Antonio de La Cruz, Dolores Freisinger, Jesus Flores, Maria G. Velazquez, Gabriela Flores, Lorena Ramos, Ana Flores, Delia Flores and David Flores Jr. His children, 26 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren will miss him dearly.

David is at rest with the Lord, alongside his dear parents and siblings. His visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085. Maria Campillo aka Lupita Rivera joined her dear husband Luis Rivera and parents Carlos and Maria I. Segura; in eternal rest on March 28, 2024. She was born on November 22nd, 1956 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

She was devote Catholic and strong believer in her Virgencita de Guadalupe. Her biggest love and joy were her grandkids and her children (in that order). She had love for everyone and anyone that met her, felt her love. She enjoyed to go out and try new food but she also enjoyed to cook for others. She enjoyed watching all her grandkids and was always there to support all of them, from school events, to sports and their musical/art performances. She was always front row. Her unconditional love, her sense of humor and her beautiful smile are a few things that will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband Luis Rivera (1997); father Carlos del Pozo (2011) and mother Maria I. Segura (2020).

She is survived by her children, Luis (Shirley) Rivera, Eunice (Noel) Diaz, Julio (Alyssa) Rivera, Maribel Rivera (Mark Sobecki), Luz Selene del Pozo (Mexico); grandchildren Luis Rivera Jr., Cynthia Rivera, Reina Rivera, Karla Rivera, Rogelio Diaz, Sofia Diaz, Isaias Diaz, Noel Diaz, Emma Diaz, Guadalupe Rivera, Julio Rivera Jr., Lucio Rivera, and Paulina del Pozo (Mexico).

Lupita’s visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington St, Waukegan, IL 60085. Her funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at Most Blessed Trinity, Holy Family Parish, 450 Keller Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085.
