I learned something new this week, thanks to some local Wisconsin BMW Motorcycle Club members.

In doing some garage cleaning, I came up with some helmets that we were no longer wearing. Because of their age, I wasn’t comfortable passing them on to other people, and wasn’t crazy about just tossing them out.

It turns out that local Fire and EMT can use them for accident scene training. So, I called up our local Fire Dept., and they were happy to take them off my hands for their crews.

I’m glad they have gone to help our Emergency Responders stay prepared.

We try to work in a couple of rides on the ferry in each year when we’re riding in the Sauk area.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Merrimac Ferry is now open for the 2024 season! The popular ferry shuttles WIS 113 traffic, bicyclists and pedestrians across the Wisconsin River 24-hours a day, seven days a week, between Okee in Columbia County and Merrimac in Sauk County.
