Videos by Wisconsin Zoo Interchange North Leg Project in Waukesha. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is completing the Zoo Interchange Project in Milwaukee County. The last portion of the project, I-41 between Swan Blvd and Burleigh St, is called the North Leg. Work is scheduled to be completed in late 2023.

VIDEO UPDATE: last week we performed a major project milestone and poured the bridge deck for the future I-41 SB bridge over Mayfair Rd, Underwood Pkwy, the Underwood Creek, and the CPKCR. Check out this timelapse video of that pour!

This video captures it all: - on Dec 1st, 2022 train traffic was switched to the new permanent UPRR bridge over I-41. - demo of the temporary UPRR bridge and construction of the new I-41 NB lanes under the new UPRR bridge began. - on Jan 7th, 2023 I-41 NB traffic was switched to the new I-41 NB lanes and the temporary UPRR bridge was gone!
VIDEO UPDATE: earlier this month we installed portions of a new storm sewer under Hwy 100 SB. Hwy 100 SB was closed at North Ave the entire weekend to do this work. Check out this time-lapse video of the weekend's work. Facts: - The largest storm sewer pipe at this location is 96" in diameter. - This storm sewer carries water from I-41 and many other Wauwatosa roadways around WIS 100 & North Ave. - This system remained "live" during work, so water was pumped around this location to maintain a dry work zone.
