As temperatures get HOT this week, let's stand together to safeguard our older adults and folks with disabilities from extreme heat this week! Stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, and seek cool indoor places to beat the heat. Let's look out for each other and show kindness and compassion during this challenging period. Together, we can make a difference! 🚨 REMEMBER: -Older adults (typically 65+) are more susceptible to heat-related illnesses; and they are less likely to sense and respond to high temperatures. Check on them frequently and help them stay cool and hydrated. -People with disabilities may face challenges coping with extreme temperatures. Offer assistance and support in this crucial time. #MakeADifference #CoolDown
