Please be aware, a major global computer software outage that is impacting Waukesha County computer systems. This was not a cyberattack or cyber security issue.
County offices are open (including ADRC), but please **note some services may be disrupted based on a case-by-case basis. We appreciate your patience as our team works to resolve this issue.

June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, so we want to talk about the importance of recognizing signs of elder abuse. It isn't always physical signs, but includes emotional and financial signs as well.
📢POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT! 📢 The Project Coordinator will oversee the formation, growth and development of a coalition, conduct an environmental scan of Social Connection opportunities within Waukesha County for individuals 60+ and work collaboratively with a contracted agency in the development of a public facing repository for these opportunities.
This position is funded via grant funding through March 31, 2025 as is considered LTE.
June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Older people throughout the United States lose an estimated $2.6 billion or more annually due to elder financial abuse and exploitation. Elder abuse also creates health care and legal costs for our society. However, we can change this.

We would like to invite you to a free presentation on scams in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD). The presentation, titled "Let's Talk About Scams," will be held on Wednesday, June 11th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Waukesha Public Library's program room A located at 321 Wisconsin Ave, Waukesha.
We are offering this presentation to help educate older adults and the community about current scams, different types of scams, red flags to watch out for, and how to protect yourself if you have been victimized by a scam.
