Good morning! Low clouds with a light mist this AM but nothing that is ruining our parade. WE ARE NOW 100% OPEN. Grooming finished up Western Frontier last night and every trail from the top to the bottom is now open. Groomers will continue to fine tune, move snow, add enhancements, and create fun across all of our open terrain!

Balloons have graced the skies of Wausau since Steve Woller started the Wausau Balloon Rally in 2002. Everything came full circle when he had to save the event in 2021 and create Taste N Glow Balloon Fest.
Thankfully; local businesses and spectators supported the efforts to make Taste N Glow a success. A very generous land owner allowed us to use his 90 acres for parking for FREE. Last year he announced that he wanted to sell his land and we worked hard to raise funds to purchase his property. We came short in our fund raising needs and can’t purchase the property. We were unable to find a new location for the event. It takes about 120 acres to house this enormous event.
Unfortunately, there will not be a Taste N Glow balloon Fest in 2024 With Steve and Nancy Woller’s involvement.

 Strip rooms and take soiled linens/terry to the laundry

 Make beds per company and brand standards

 Clean guest rooms to company and brand standards

 Stock guest rooms to company and brand standards

 Carries out deep cleaning duties as assigned

 Organize and stock supplies on housekeeping carts

 Clean hallways, stairs, and other common areas in the vicinity of rooms that have been assigned

THIS JOB IS 5-6 DAYS A WEEK FOR 2-3 HOURS MAX A DAY

PART TIME ---PICK YOUR HOURS BETWEEN 9AM - 2PM

Main Duties:

1. Reports to work on time as scheduled. Well groomed, name badge and proper uniform according to brand/company policies.

2. Practices customer service behaviors, such as listening, initiative, responsiveness, cheerfulness, accommodation, courtesy, honesty, and professionalism.

3. Demonstrates positive Team spirit providing assistance to other Team members as necessary to achieve required standards of productivity and guest care.

4. Makes decisions in the best interest of the property and in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.

5. Helps to clean and maintain all interior public spaces – lobby, stairwells, hallways, business centers, fitness rooms, restaurant dining area, and meeting rooms/boardrooms.

6. Empties property trash to exterior dumpster.

7. Carries out cleaning duties as assigned.

8. Keeps common areas and grounds free of trash and empties internal/external trash receptacles.

9. Assists housekeeping and laundry as directed from General Manager. or Executive Housekeeper

10. Turns in all Lost & Found items, tags, and stores them as directed by management.

11. Reports items/areas needing maintenance assistance.

12. Immediately reports suspicious or unlawful activities to immediate supervisor and/or Police.

13. Attends and participates in staff meetings, safety meetings, training classes, etc.

Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. A. Education and/or Experience

- No formal education

- Experience in other hotels or a comparable service industry dealing with cleanliness helpful

B. Language Skills

Ability to communicate in English as follows:

- Understanding basic verbal instructions

- Read basic words/symbols/numbers

- Speak simple sentences to communicate with supervisor, guests, and co-workers

- Write basic English to identify maintenance issues and to complete reports as needed

c. Physical Demands

Room Checker / PT Executive Housekeeping

Key attributes and responsibilities of the position include:

 Communicates with the General Manager consistently on an on-going basis in terms of pertinent

information regarding the department and hotel or guest issues

 Assists in hiring, training and leading departmental team members

 Participates in appraisal and review of employees and makes recommendations to the General Manager on

hiring and disciplinary action in accordance with company policies

 Knows room rates, locations, furnishings, amenities, and special features of all guest rooms of the property

 Schedules to maintain labor efficiency (Minutes per Room) and service excellence according to the

business needs and budget

 Ensures safe use of chemicals and equipment in accordance with the MSDS

 Follows key control and security procedures

 Inspects all furniture, carpet, and equipment, checking for wear, hazards, malfunction, and/or stains; fixes

and/or reports issues to Maintenance

 Plans, organizes, and keeps records on deep cleaning activities

 Ensures all common areas are cleaned/checked daily and all needed repairs are completed and/or reported

Qualifications:

 Prior Assistant Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper experience a plus

 Supervisory experience a plus

 Basic computer skills
