Wauseon Recreation is looking for TWO teams to round out our Church League Basketball program. A few things to be aware of:
>This is an adult league. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate
>We are looking for teams…not individuals
>The team must be affiliated with a church in the area
>Games are played on Monday nights at the Primary School in Wauseon. Play begins on Monday, 12/4.

Due to the excessive heat warning that remains in place from the NWS and the potentially dangerous conditions, ALL FIELDS at Biddle Park are closed for today.

As a result, ALL scheduled practices and/or activities are CANCELED for today. This supersedes any word from a coach.

Wauseon Recreation Volleyball has been canceled for today. We were informed yesterday afternoon that the facility is not available. We apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment.

Practice for Wauseon Recreation Volleyball 5th and 6th grade will be tomorrow, Tuesday 8/22/23, from 330-445 combined with the 3rd and 4th grade. This is just for this week due to an open house at the Primary School today.

As a reminder, or to make you aware…
Registration is currently open for Wauseon Soccer Club Fall Travel Soccer organized thru Wauseon Recreation. The deadline is quickly approaching this Friday, 7/14/23. Due to league deadlines, this is a firm deadline so late registrations will be considered but not guaranteed.

The cost to register is $110. Uniforms are done separately directly thru ACE once teams have been established. Full uniform cost is typically $120. You can register thru Wauseon.recdesk.com or stop by our office during regular hours M-F from 9a-5p. Please call 419-335-8334 with any questions. Please do not reply to this post.

This registration is open to all kids !! The goal is to have enough players to form teams from U8 all the way up to U14, both boys and girls. Teams are decided based on the number of registrants. Players should expect to be available for 3-4 practices per week and are determined by the coach. This is a competitive environment designed to challenge and improve the player’s skills thru hard work.

The fall schedule is a 10 game schedule, 5 home and 5 away, with travel to be expected throughout NW Ohio.

ALL FIELDS at Biddle Park are CLOSED for today due to the field conditions. All fields. Day 2 of our Spring Baseball Classic is now canceled.

There is one exception to that…Travel Soccer games on Field 2 and Field 5 are ON as scheduled. That is the only exception.

This cancellation includes Rec Soccer on F5 for today. Plans for a reschedule on that are being discussed and will be communicated at another time and directly to those involved via email.

Just a friendly reminder that our summer program parent’s meetings take place at the Rotary Park shelter house tomorrow evening. The schedule is pictured below.

Please do your best to attend. It’s an opportunity for us to meet and to answer any questions you might have. Each meeting is essentially the same information so if you have multiple kids playing on different teams just attending one of the meetings will suffice.
