This next speaker was born and raised here in Madison, WI. She is currently fabulous at the age of 51, and is a renowned entertainer. She's been gracing stages, pride festivals, club shows, Drag competitions, tv, and radio spots for over 30 years.
At a much younger age, Cass struggled for some time with her inner demons. Once she found her way to the 12 step program, she stuck with that, and today proudly and humbly celebrates 23 years of recovery.
Community members often refer to Cass as an icon, a legend, and a leader in the community. Being a transgender woman, she advocates for other transgender people of all ages. She is very active in spreading awareness, providing education, and sharing her own story as someone living with HIV. She is also a peer support person for others living with HIV.
