Just finished this well the first part then they need to dry, be fired, decorate, and final fire. So we will see.

DIY is doing a lot of pottery kinda over kill but there beautiful. Most just don't understand the timing and work that goes into making pottery unless your in the industry. I'm making 3 days a week open just to stop by and see whole prossess. Just call and see what's going on and come visit. Kiln opening this morning! Everything came out beautiful, a perfect cone 5. Thank you Connor for your help adjusting the firing program.

First cone 5 glaze firing was both good and bad mostly good!

Pieces are getting thinner and taller. Fun Fun Fun!

Our newest members first project. I really love the handle.

2 projects made this week Arial made beautiful slab built mug and did some extra detail carving and Maria did a awesome flower bowl. It was both of these ladies first time at DIY Pottery and Ceramics. Waiting dry off to the bisque firing and 2nd class to glaze, final fire and done.

Today we're learning how to pour a large mold and with 2 parts and put it together. I'm pretty new to this part of the studio but I'm thrilled how this life size rabbit turned out. What do ya'll think?

If you're interested in pottery do some research with claysharecom on facebook a lot of options with clays and glazes, I highly recommend clayshare, I've learned so much from them over the years.

Today so far working on trimming some bowls in between glazing a few pots. Working with takes time and timing, that's why I suggest a membership you can come as oftentimes as your able to get your projects done. Memberships are $60.00 a month no contracts ever.

There have been some concerns about cost? The 1st. visit $25.00 is a try it, and see if this is for you. 2nd. is orientation visit to know where everything is returned to. All you can expect and we will make a project as in the first visit. $25.00 for 2nd. membership cost is based on the time a week of month you can attend.
