Soldier, Olympian, athlete, shooter, instructor, and now one of the Army’s newest Olympic Silver Medalists, Sgt. Sagen Maddalena poses in her Army uniform with her Olympic Medal at a range at Fort Moore, Ga. after her return from Paris.

On Aug. 1, she broke an Olympic record in qualification, tying with China in the Women’s 50m Smallbore Rifle event, and on Aug. 2, earned the Silver Medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Maddalena earned the first U.S. Olympic Shooting medal of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
