La Penna's Envisioned Video

As many know by now, time has caught up with me and I am no longer filming weddings. Instead, I forward the leads to an associate who worked with me for 20 years.

I do reminisce about those years (25 of them) and I realize that what I miss most is the relationships I had with many of the deejays. The ongoing observations and discussions we shared were a lot of fun. I'll always remember the great nights I shared with Bucky, Steve, Dave, Chris, Vaugh, Gregg and others. Then there were bandleaders like Janis! Fun people and team players.

Prior to wedding ceremonies, I've always asked the bride and the groom separately to look at the camera and tell each other what they are feeling. On this day something special happened. The bride showed her emotions by sitting at the piano, playing a tune, and sharing her thoughts. By the way, they met when the groom decided to take piano lessons. You're looking at his teacher.

In my archives I have lots of video frames that show youngsters that participated in weddings. Some are grown men and women now and I sometimes wonder how things have been going for them.

It can be tough getting everyone to smile at the same time.

For the most part the type-written toast has now been replaced by the cellphone or the tablet. It's all in the delivery anyway.

Over the years potential clients would sometimes try to save a dollar by telling us we did not have to stay until the end of a reception. I have always talked them out of that idea. The late-night moments often show the most genuine happiness!

When couples plan holiday weddings they first hope that the weather is good so guests will be safe traveling to the festivities. Yet inside they hold out some hope for just a little snow so they can get glorious video and pictures like this.

The June youth movements continued last Sunday with the talented group at Turning Pointe Dance Studio. So many acts I can't include them all here but the final video will be great!

I started out the month of June as part of the youth movement. First up were the young dancers from the Broadway Bound Dance Academy. Such energy! Here are some stills frozen from the video footage. I wish I could include everyone in this post but everyone will have their moment on the final video for sure.

It's so nice to have the dance recitals that we at Envisioned Video annually film back happening again. We love recording these shows especially because the kids give us a good dose of energy!

Past clients and good friends Kevin and Tina Tamburro-Hughes were married on 02-02-2002 and recently celebrated anniversary #20 on 02-02-2022. To help them celebrate I dug out the old SVHS footage to see if I could modernize the video a bit. There were a lot of tools that just weren't available 20 years ago. Recently, MoreThanTheCurve.com, a site about happenings in the Conshohocken area, mentioned some vintage work from La Penna's Envisioned Video in a post. Back in 1999 Len La Penna and Jim Moore Montemurro manned the cameras as we documented five Italian-Catholic feasts in the Conshohocken/Norristown/Bridgeport area. We wanted to capture the ongoing wonders and status of these events as we headed into the 2000s. It was in the early days of learning our trade. We did capture enough of the feelings and flavor that you can almost taste the fried dough as you watch. If you are from the area you may enjoy taking these trips down Memory Lane.

On their wedding days couples find themselves on top of the world.

A baptism can be a very hectic event but there comes a point where everyone agrees that it is time for things to quiet down. Even little Alexandros agrees. Congratulations and blessings! Thanks for once more letting La Penna's Envisioned Video be part of this great family day.

A WEDDING VIDEO IS A MUST, RIGHT? "Phil and I are celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary today. We watched our video on Friday night and as always it brought me to tears.
