Love God. Love People. Make Disciples.
Now more than ever, we’re told to make our lives as loud as possible with busyness, productivity, and influence, or we’re lulled to idle, silent sleep by the American Dream or our poor habits, not realizing there is power and peace to be found in a life marked by basic habits of rest, reflection, and health. Is it your ambition to lead a quiet life?

Hey church!
A few weeks back, our worship leader's brother, Lee, visited from the Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA. During the Sunday gathering, they shared the song "Creation Sings" from Sight and Sound's production of "David".
Part of the reason he was in town was to put together a music video for the song. Here is their version of the song and we hope it richly blesses you all and points you to God as you get your week started.

Pastor Scott here and today we wrapped up our time together at the Annual Conference of the Acts 12:24 Churches in Lancaster PA where the One we Proclaim, King Jesus, ministered to us through His word, presence, and the fellowship of His people. I’ve got some exciting updates to share with you all this Sunday!
This past Friday, in partnership with the ministry of the Village Clinic, ladies gathered to assemble grief baskets to be given to those who walk the difficult journey of miscarriage. We put together 32 baskets and prayed over them and the women who will receive them. We are honored to come alongside Heather Soper and her team and she seeks to provide care for vulnerable women. https://www.thevillageprenatalclinic.com
"The Lord spoke to Manasseh and to his people, but they paid no attention. Therefore the Lord brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh with hooks and bound him with chains of bronze and brought him to Babylon. And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. He prayed to him, and God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God." 2 Chronicles 33:10-13

Our teens ministry had a blast in this hot weather by going to the pool!! What fun and joyful fellowship can be had in the name of Jesus!!
At the end of John’s Gospel, Jesus answers the question we all needed the answer to: What about Peter? He had denied even knowing Jesus three times during Jesus’ most critical hour… what would Jesus do with Peter? To our amazement, He offers Peter what he offers us in our failures: reaffirmed love and restored purpose.

See you Friday at 46 Ramsey Rd, Staunton!
Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. John 21:5-7

"Every no, means You have a better yes..."
This song has resonated with our worship minister, Luke, for some time and he hopes that it does the same for you all. God is so good and even when it seems He is withholding things from us, it is because He has something better in mind.
"For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory."
2 Corinthians 1:20

"Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, 'Peace be with you.' When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Pastor Scott here!
This morning I took our staff (sadly missing Ethan) out on a little R&R. They had no clue what we were doing apart from the need to wear shorts and tennis shoes. We played some Fling Golf at Waynesboro Golf and Games and then enjoyed God’s chicken at Chick-fil-A.
This was just a small thank you to all of their hard work these last several months; we have such a high capacity team and so much fruitful ministry is happening because of their work. It’s a true joy to get to work with all of you!
If y’all get a chance, comment below some love for the WFMC Staff!
