I never encouraged my children to play with their food, but this morning on this very gloomy day, Scott, one of our guests, decided to play with his! And so we have a :) to brighten up the day! Yummy breakfast he left only the garnishes!

Brookside Mountain Mist Inn, located in Waynesville, NC - tucked away in the beautiful NC Smoky Mountains is one of the prettiest towns to visit!

The innkeepers, Mary and Bill, welcome their guests with a warm welcome and go to great lengths to accommodate every one of them. Homemade cookies, brownies or other delights are by your door every afternoon (who could ask for more, right?)! Their rooms are exceptionally clean, very spacious and quiet. Special requests are rendered when requested! I've stayed here several times, and I can say this about every room and every visit (I've stayed in 4 out of 5 rooms)!

Breakfast is a delicious treat every morning in the gorgeous dining room with wonderful food and a mountain view to start your day! French toast bake with berries and blueberry sauce, thick delicious bacon and fresh fruit cups; homemade cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage patties; fiesta omelets, yogurt parfaits and coffee cake - some of my favorites! Mary and Bill do not let you leave the table hungry before you begin your day! And if mentioning my favorites, let me add the salted caramel pretzel cookies too! Ohhhh soooo good! ~ DT and DT, SC

Great breakfast this morning! No pic, but just imagine: 3 buttermilk pancakes spread with butter and cinnamon sugar topped with syrup and then 2 couple of link sausages, and then, the most delicious breakfast fruit - broiled fresh pineapple chunks covered in brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter with clotted cream on top with a touch of fresh home grown spearmint! All homemade in my kitchen! Delicious...full dining room and seconds all around!!!

Afternoon snack promises to be lucious, too. See pic. It is a lemon tart, made with a lemon cookie crust with lemon cream topped with cool whip and strawberries!

BTW, we have availability over the 4th. Come and see us, and stay awhile. Bring some family to occupy a second room and both rooms get a free bottle of wine with their stay. Actually, even if you don't bring someone else, you will get a wonderful bottle of wine!

Afternoon snack is pretty nice, too, a lemon tart for two with coolwhip

Excellent B&B in Waynesville NC
We spent our 9th Anniversary here and it was absolutely great! Excellent location with wonderful views. Our stay was very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Mary & Bill were the best innkeepers/hosts we have had in the past 9 years of staying at bed & breakfasts. Mary is an amazing cook and makes everything homemade. She is very accommodating to your needs and/or wants. My husband enjoyed the daily morning chats with Bill. The Inn was extremely clean and well maintained. Rooms were stocked and decorated beautifully. The jetted tub was an extra enjoyment to our stay. They also offer a huge variety of add ons (chocolate covered strawberries, snack baskets, roses, etc). I would highly recommend Brookside Mountain Mist Inn B&B to anyone looking for an amazing place to stay while in Waynesville NC.

ROOM: Beautifully decorated and updated. Very clean. Luxurious and elegant. Comfortable beds. Fireplace. Reading chair. Flat screen TV.

ACTIVITIES: There is an array of activity possibilities nearby. You are close enough to all the neighboring cities and towns that you could visit many or all of them on your stay. Plenty of local shopping opportunities, attractions, golfing, etc. Cherokee NC is within a 20-30 minute drive and is a must see and visit. Chimney Rock is another nearby, must see, attraction. The activity possibilities are endless.

SAFETY: Safety was never an issue or concern while staying at Brookside B&B. The neighborhood is safe and well kept. You must enter a code to enter the home and enter a code upon exiting. Therefore, you are always safe while staying at the Inn.

FOOD & DRINKS: Food was exquisite and homemade. Wines available(I opted for the Red Moscato....excellent choice). Terrific coffee. I loved the option of getting to purchase the coffee and Brookside cups(which we did).

Reservations are starting to come in with Mother's Day right around the corner so I thought I would post some new pictures. This morning was an especially pretty morning, not even chilly. But gorgeous!

Hey there, hope all is well with everyone! We here have found that with a couple of cancellations we have rooms available for booking this weekend! It is glorious here, finally!!! We had looked like hundreds of colorful vibrant daffodils in our front garden that were spectacular. Now we are working on getting more flowers to pop up! Come and see! And relax, enjoy, and refresh!
