This morning, we welcomed Michael from My Very Own Bed into our office. A recent recipient of a grant from the Fazendin Realtors Foundation, Michael shared with us the why and the mission behind the amazing organization he founded in 2014..

Since the beginning, My Very Own Bed had one goal: to provide new beds to children moving into stable housing. By 2023, they’ve provided more than 7,000 beds and Dream Kits to children ages 2-17 in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs.

A Dream Kit is a set of sheets, blanket, pillow, mattress pad, stuffed animal, and a book. For the children who might otherwise go without such items, the impact of these kits is immediate; improving where and how children sleep improves their overall health and well-being.

The $3,000 donation from the Fazendin Realtors Foundation - made possible by the generosity of our real estate agents, staff, and clients (THANK YOU!) will provide 10 children in the Twin Cities Metro with a new bed and Dream Kit.

Starting the week with gratitude for the Pay It Forward Fund and the Fazendin Realtors Foundation!

This morning, we invited Michelle from the Pay It Forward Fund into our office to speak about the impact this organization has on bettering the lives of those going through breast and women's cancer treatments.

Since its beginning in 2018, the Pay It Forward Fund has granted over $4.5 million in patient assistance, helping thousands of patients pay their rent, mortgage, electricity, water, and other essential living expenses. And it's done it all without a single paid employee!
