Winsor Music continues to bring world-class music to our community and beyond because of YOU!
This year, Winsor Music continued our summer music scholarship program in partnership with Project STEP. Through our commissioning program, we are significantly expanding the chamber music repertoire with six new and exciting works by women and people of color. In the new year, you can look forward to hearing these new works alongside favorites by Saint-Saëns, Fauré and Copland. We are also excited for our upcoming collaboration between Winsor Music, composer deVon Russell Gray and Project STEP students, resulting in a new composition by Project STEP students that will be included on our March 10th concert program.
All of this could not be possible without our generous donors! Every amount makes a difference and we are so grateful for your continued support! You can donate securely online at www.winsormusic.org or mail a check to Winsor Music at PO Box 812912, Wellesley, MA 02482

In May Winsor Music presented a benefit concert for the Relief Fund for Ukrainian Musicians. In honor of last weeks Ukraninan Liberation Day (August 24, 1991), we would like to share an update from one of the beneficiaries of the Relief Fund, Kseniia Ahisheva, from Kharkiv Musical College.
"I want to thank the Lisa Batiaіshvili Foundation for such a big undertaking! I don’t have enough words to express your generosity! Sending you links for two videos. On one of them is my performance of the “Melodie” by Myroslav Skoryk, which was recorded at the concert on 15h of May of this year in the house of culture of the “Italia” district in Warsaw, which first provided me with shelter. They let me come and practice on the instrument and hold a performance. This was a difficult time, when all my thoughts were with Ukraine. Every five minutes I read updates from Kharkiv Telegram channels, which were full of unbelievably horrible news. There was a terrible dissonance in my head, as if I lived in two different worlds at the same time. In one of them I exist physically in relative safety, and in another were all my feelings, all my past, which was being destroyed. This was a time of constant worry about my loved ones, who remained in Kharkiv, but I had to concentrate on my playing not to miss a chance I have been given in Poland.
The second recording was made in the Spring during the preparation for my solo recital. On this recording I play the “Lullaby” by Skoryk together with my colleague and close friend Vira Litovchenko, with whom I have been friends and collaborated half of my life. In these incredibly difficult circumstances we felt a real need to keep working together and especially play Ukrainian music. Vira was then in Kharkiv (where she is still), while I recorded my part at the same house of culture in Warsaw.
