Hi all you beautiful people!! Some friends, some clients!

As of March 2024 if you don’t make your appointments ahead of time I will no longer be able to work you in. Three days a week book up very quickly.
I am booked out 2 months ahead most times.

I’m not adding new customers.

No more 8,9,10am appts.

My hours are as follows:

Wednesday 11-5
Thursday 11-5
Friday 11-5

One Saturday a month and one Tuesday a month.

You can’t go by the dates on the egg cartons. Eggs can go past the date of the carton and still be used, or they can already be bad in the carton. You have no way of knowing how old the eggs are by the time you get them home from the store. There is a tiny air cell in a fresh egg, so it has little or no buoyancy. The older the egg gets, the larger the air cell becomes. The egg will float when the air cell gets to a certain size. So Here Is How to tell if an Egg is bad….I also have a video out demonstrating this with eggs. In addition to the float test, there are a few other methods that you can try to test an egg’s freshness. Science says that egg’s contents shrink over time leaving a larger pocket of air and that there is more mobility for the content of the egg to move around inside when shaken. As an egg ages, the contents degrade and mix together also. If you are in doubt, sniff the egg. There is no denying the stench of a rotten egg. There is also a plate test. A very fresh egg will have a very vibrant yellow/orange yolk that sits upright. The white will be firm and tight. An older egg will have a yolk that will be flatter, and the white will spread out across the plate. Just because it spreads out doesn’t mean it isn’t good to eat, it just means it’s just not as fresh. There are 3 pieces of important information on a carton of eggs. One identifies the packing source of where the eggs came from (the top left), the top right numbers, tells you the day of the year the eggs were packed. This information will be above or below the best by date depending on the manufacturer. For instance, if it says 023, they were packed on January 23rd, if it said 223, then they were packed on the 223rd day of the year. It will never go beyond 365, because there are only 365 days in a year. The bottom date that says best by, simply means that they need to be pulled from the shelves by the stores, but not that you still can’t eat them. If you are confused and ever in doubt, don’t eat an egg that has a crack in it, unless you just cracked it, and sniff it to smell. When using eggs in baking, you want your eggs to be as fresh as possible for rising purposes, especially in baking pound cakes that depends on eggs and the beating of the cake to rise. So try to use the freshest eggs possible when baking. I hope this has helped you some.

Definition of Inspire: Fill someone with the urge or ability to do or feel something.

When I was 12 years old...for Christmas my mom gave me one of these and a little manicure set in a zippered pouch. She was supporting a dream even though at the time she had no idea where that would take me.

The first time I ever aspired to be a hair dresser I was in a salon in Chelan to have my hair done for 8th grade graduation. I wanted to be just like that hairdresser. It wasn't WHAT she was doing. It was how inspiring she was!
I did not realize that dream until I turned 30 years of age.

As it turned out I was never able to do my mom's hair or share my gift with her in a salon. But she always took us to the "Beauty Parlor."

I do remember coloring her hair in her kitchen with the old Egyptian henna. I must have been 19 or 20 years old. It made her have such joy with that copper penny hair! My dad didn't much like it but I told her...it makes you happy! We're doing it! He can figure himself out!

I'm still empowering women and men in my chair everyday at Carpe Diem. And hopefully inspiring them as well.

I am forever grateful for my mom and her love for me..

We never know the far reaching ways we help another.
But unconditional love changes lives.

I hope my life has honored her love for me!❤️

Hi Everyone... just a heads up.. some changes taking place on my schedule. I am having issues with my shoulder. No bad but don't want to get that way either so no more 7-8 people a day any more. I may have to move appts out further. Please be patient til I figure it out. Unless I call you about your appt on the books.. nothing has changed. I love all of you and NO I'm not quitting...lol Just making changes so I can keep going!!

So I'm sick and won't be in tomorrow! Bad sore throat and cough!
No covid..tested 2 times today!

I just want to help all of you understand my unavailable appointments for like 1 1/2 months out. It is not personal. I simply am booked. I work 3 days a week, one Saturday a month and one Monday every seven weeks. That books up quick. It doesn't leave a lot of open space if things come up and appointments need to be changed. It will usually be weeks not days later. I am very grateful for my full schedule and for all of you. I also am not taking on new clients. I don't want to take on another day of work lol. Thank you all for your support and your understanding.
