From our newest club, the Chelan-Manson Fashion Squad 4-H Club: "Last Week we first learned the parts of a sewing machine and we sewed on paper with the machine. Then we learned how to iron seams. We sewed a seam on fabric and then pressed it open. We moved onto how to make a cinch bag. Our assignment for next meeting is to bring our bags and we will be making tote bags for donation." Thank you, Madison, for sharing this report!

Kaelyn Peterson, needs to re-home her goats. She did not de-horn them so they can’t be shown at either fair. Here’s the info she gave me:
They were born April 28th of this year, they are twin sisters, they are vaccinated and have been check by a vet. They are inseparable, they listen to there names very well, and they walk on leashes pretty good.
They may make good breeding/milk goats? She is asking what she paid for them, $400.

Friends,
The 4-H International Exchange Program is needing to house some delegates and chaperones immediately! They come in on Sunday July 23rd (Yes, this coming Sunday!) to Wenatchee and they leave August 16th. To host a chaperone, no children are required in the household. To host a student, there must be a child between 12-18 in the household and there must be a bed for the exchange delegate. The delegates are coming from Japan and Taiwan and there are boys and girls left. The delegates come with spending money. They are to be treated as part of your family and will do all the normal things you do in those couple weeks. All you as a host need to do is provide food and lodging in your home. So, for example, if you have a vacation planned, you would take them with you! It is not required that you be in 4-H to host, and you can host anywhere in the state. So, please share this widely amongst your friends and family. We are still needing to home 10-11 delegates as well as a few chaperones. There is a limit of 2 delegates/chaperones per host family. You can also take a delegate and a chaperone. If you are interested in hosting, or would like more information, please contact Carolyn Russo at: [email protected] or 509-754-2011 ext. 4309.
