We're are finally coming down from the joy of our "Flower Power" Barbie-inspired Little Black Dress Fundraiser, and we've gathered all the fabulous photos and memories to share! 🌸✨

It was a fun night bringing together an amazing group of women decked out in their favorite flower power outfits—from iconic Barbies of the 50s, 60s, and 70s to today's modern Barbies, along with one famous Ken Doll! The evening was all about celebrating Alatheia's mission of changing lives with the healing power of horses and it felt great. 💃🌸

Our guests didn’t just dress to impress—they raised their paddles high, showing incredible support for our cause. We also hit the dance floor and learned the Hustle, adding a fun twist to an already fantastic evening.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, guests, events committee, volunteers, and Barn Buddies, we not only met our fundraising goal but surpassed it! Your support helps us continue to make a difference in the lives of so many. Thank you for making this night so special! 💖

Please save the date for next year’s Little Black Dress. Friday, July 25, 2025. We can’t wait to role out next year’s theme!

For Esther, being on Solvi brings immense freedom and joy. The bond they share is special, and Esther often talks about “her Solvi” at home and the new skills they are learning together with her family.
She also has a special bond with her instructor Leanna Shannon too. Even on hot summer days, like today, they still had fun together outside and in the arena. 🐴❤️

Bjorn, one of our newest arrivals at Alatheia, is currently training to become a therapeutic riding horse. Today, Bjorn achieved a significant milestone by completing his first “mock” lesson with young rider Addy.

Bjorn was calm, curious, and steady throughout the session, demonstrating the qualities that will make him an incredible partner in our program.

A big congratulations to both Bjorn and Addy—you did it! 🐴👏🏼❤️

We’re incredibly grateful to our Veteran Liaison, Jim Cook, for his dedication and participation in the recent ceremony where Wenatchee was honored as a Purple Heart Community. His speech was a heartfelt tribute to all Purple Heart recipients, reminding us of the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

We’re also proud to share that Wenatchee is now officially part of the Purple Heart Trail—a nationwide system of roads, highways, and monuments that pay tribute to the men and women who have been awarded the Purple Heart for military service. This designation is a reminder of the sacrifices made by our military personnel and further strengthens our community’s commitment to honoring our veterans.

A special thank you to our Warriors & Horses participants who attended the event, as well as the Alatheia volunteers who were present. Your support and presence are invaluable as we continue to honor and serve those who have given so much for our freedom. 🇺🇸🐴💜🏅

At Alatheia, we believe that sometimes, out of the most difficult circumstances, new connections and a stronger sense of community can emerge. We are deeply touched and grateful for the heartfelt donation from Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory, a family-owned business led by Jamin and Mahala Mohler.

Thank you for extending a hand of kindness and support to Alatheia. Your contribution helps us continue to provide valuable services and care to our riders, Veterans, and Barn Buddies.

From all of us at Alatheia, thank you, Jamin and Mahala, for your incredible generosity.

Big News from Alatheia Therapeutic Riding Center! 🐴💫

Today marks a monumental day for Alatheia. The metal structure for our new arena at our future location has begun to rise!

This achievement is the result of years of hard work and countless hours of dedication, all driven by our desire to meet our community's overwhelming demand for life-changing interventions for individuals with disabilities and Veterans seeking support in adjusting to civilian life.

Due to a lack of resources and space, we've faced the unfortunate reality of an 80-person waitlist, denying access to those urgently needing our services. But now, our vision of an inclusive future is starting to come true. 👏🏼🐴

Our expanded facility on twelve acres will serve as a regional center of excellence in Equine Assisted Services. It will provide a wide range of programs to enhance lives, including therapeutic riding, adaptive riding, year round services, and specialized programs for Veterans. But most of all, we will eliminate our never ending waitlist!

We are thrilled with this progress, but we still need our community’s help to complete our Double the Capacity Capital campaign. Any donation will bring us closer to the finish line. Please consider supporting Alatheia by making a donation today. https://alatheiaridingcenter.com/capital-campaign/)

Thank you for helping us make this vision a reality!
